Job Description

Role Overview

The Group Manager, Tech PreSales (IT Infrastructure) is responsible for managing complex and strategic IT infrastructure solution, leading the pursuit process from qualification to contract finalization. This role requires expertise in developing competitive solutions, orchestrating bid processes, collaborating with stakeholders, and ensuring a seamless transition from sales to delivery. The ideal candidate has experience managing multi-tower BPM and ITO deals, working closely with sales, BU solutions, business leaders, pricing, commercial, information security & risk, and technology teams to drive winning proposals. A strong foundation in Core Networking technologies, Contact Center solutions, Cloud technologies, and Logical & Data Security is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the pursuit process for medium to large, complex IT infrastructure solutions as part of BPM engagements and ITO deals.
  • Manage proposals, presentations, and contract finalization.
  • Ensure a seamless transition from sales to delivery.
  • Maximize win and close rates by leveraging strategic levers.
  • Develop compelling, competitive solutions in collaboration with internal teams.
  • Engage core bid teams, delivery experts, third-party vendors, and alliance partners.
  • Ensure alignment between technical, commercial, and sales teams.
  • Create integrated solutions with well-defined pricing and cost structures.
  • Present solution design, costing, and pricing to optimize competitive positioning.
  • Provide deep domain expertise in Core Networking, Contact Center technologies, Cloud solutions, and Security architectures to shape effective solutions.
  • Incorporate market and competitor insights into bid strategies.
  • Address customer pain points with tailored solutions.
  • Collaborate with external vendors and alliances from solution design to contract finalization.
  • Drive workshops to define key differentiators and value messaging.
  • Assess deal economics, review business development investments, and finalize contracts.
  • Ensure standardized application of PreSales and bid management processes.
  • Architect solutions involving:
  • Core Networking technologies (LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, MPLS, VPN).
  • Contact Center technologies (Genesys, Cisco, Avaya, Five9, NICE CXOne).
  • Cloud solutions (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Security solutions (Zero Trust, Firewall, DLP, SIEM, IAM, Endpoint Protection).
  • Provide guidance on best practices for Logical & Data Security, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements as part of the technology solution.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Graduate with good academic background – Preferably in IT
  • Experience: 14+ years in PreSales, Bid Management, or Solution Architecture within IT Infrastructure.
  • Proven track record in handling multi-tower BPM and ITO deals and driving successful bids from a Tech PreSales perspective.
  • Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with Core Networking, Contact Center solutions, Cloud platforms, and Security frameworks.
  • Experience working with third-party vendors, alliances, and partner ecosystems.
  • Ability to challenge technical and commercial solutions to optimize competitiveness.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.

Key Competencies:

  • Develop customer solutions, demonstrations, presentations, and POCs to support techno-functional sales.
  • Prepare presentations highlighting product and service value for sales teams.
  • Expertise in Solution Architecture & Technical PreSales.
