Job Description

As part of the SGS Global Procurement & Real Estate team, the Regional IT Procurement Manager will mainly focus in defining and implementing the IT category strategy at a regional level but also coordinate and support regions and countries to optimize their IT Spend by taking ownership of the IT procurement performance.

Reporting line: Global Category Manager IT

Responsibilities:

  • Assess and leverage regional or global consolidation opportunities on local IT spend and categories (Software, Hardware, IT Services, Network & Telco).
  • Define the regional IT procurement strategy and rolling projects pipeline in collaboration with countries and regional IT managers.
  • Ensure alignment with the global IT category manager, translating global category management strategy into local and regional objectives.
  • Organize a regional category team and create networks of active prescribers within countries and regions.
  • Provide intelligence for the IT category within regions and countries, monitoring and anticipating trends to continuously adapt and identify opportunities.
  • Manage regional suppliers’ relationships.
  • Execute regional sourcing initiatives and contract negotiations.
  • Provide needed support to local negotiations by bringing IT Procurement expertise and skills.
  • Support local software compliance audits when needed.
  • Coordinate local and regional topics with global agreements, including managing escalations when needed (e.g., for PCs, MFPs, Provisioning of SW licenses, etc.).
  • Take ownership of the IT Procurement performance in the regions and countries

Qualifications

  • University degree in Business Administration, Procurement, Supply Chain, or Engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in sourcing, supplier management, and strategic procurement for IT category in a multinational company.
  • Proven strong negotiation and contractual experience, both at strategic and operational levels.
  • Very good understanding of contract laws and standard forms of contracts.
  • Strategic thinker with a hands-on “roll up the sleeves” mentality.
  • Clear and fast thinker able to communicate in the “stakeholder language” and convince them.
  • Pragmatic, self-starter, efficient, and highly driven by objectives.
  • Ability to work under pressure with shifting priorities, interacting, and adjusting to diverse cultures and time-zones.
  • Full fluency in English; other languages will be a plus.
  • Ability to collaborate fully virtually with teams, stakeholders, and suppliers.
  • Very good Excel and data management skills.
  • Detail and process-oriented, analytical, with strong work organization capability.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and presentation skills.
  • Team-oriented with a focus on internal customer service.
