Today, we are recruiting for a Procurement Professional – Operation Buyer to join our team in Turkey. This is an excellent career opportunity for professionals looking to join a truly international team in one of the biggest projects of Siemens Mobility.

What are my responsibilities?

  • Convert purchase requisitions of project requirements to purchase orders in SAP systems.
  • Follow up on the change of orders, receive order confirmations, and give relevant feedback to relevant parties.
  • Coordinate with local and international transport with the approved transport companies to get confirmation for the delivery dates of all purchase orders.
  • Complete required documentation for import operations according to the instructions for payment and customs clearing.
  • Ensure timely delivery of materials or services to warehouses, sites, or customers, while ensuring they meet the necessary conditions and specifications.
  • Coordinate the return process of defective materials and their replacements.
  • Prepare order follow-up reports and distribute these reports periodically to all relevant groups.
  • Support the projects’ logistics cost, and inventory costs.
  • Evaluate suppliers’ delivery performances and provide feedback to the relevant strategic buyer and management.

What do I need to qualify for this job?

  • Bachelor’s degree in industrial, mechanical, or material engineering or international trade of economics or any equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in supply chain or logistic-related departments.
  • Good knowledge in project & production logistics management, SCM, and import & export know-how.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • SAP MM module knowledge is a plus.
