The Opportunity:

As Finance Business Partner T-MEA, you will provide financial leadership and decision support to the senior leaders and teams responsible for Astellas Commercial business.

In this position, you will report into the Area Commercial Finance Lead (Area CFL) and be a peer to other FBPs within the Area. The primary focus is partnering with a cluster of countries, however it also has cross-Area related business partnering responsibility with priorities determined by Area CFL.

You will collaborate and support GBS team and expert finance teams (Tax, Treasury, External reporting, etc) with relevant knowledge and insight in area of responsibility as needed for statutory reporting, budgeting, and tax compliance.

Key Activities:

  • Support the development of financial plans, within Area / cluster / group of countries, while considering enterprise strategy and guidance from above-country
  • Partnering with a cluster of countries, however it also has cross-Area related business partnering responsibility with priorities determined by Area CFL
  • Understand the business priorities, analyses and interprets information, identifies opportunities for revenue and profit growth and recommends strategies to improve financial outcomes.
  • Support the development of financial plans, within Area / cluster / group of countries, while considering enterprise strategy and guidance from above-country
  • Involvement in projects which address specific performance opportunities or issues within market operations and above-country operations

Essential Knowledge & Experience:

  • Proven work experience in planning and budgeting in the Pharma industry
  • Previous working knowledge of accounting and internal control standards.
  • Experience with ERP systems, planning tools and Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to operate effectively within a global environment, using remote communication, and appreciating different cultural background
  • Solid financial analysis skills, coupled with ability to communicate meaning from data
  • Strong communication & collaboration, working cross-functionally within matrix structures
  • Strong written and verbal communication in English & Turkish.

Preferred Knowledge & Experience:

  • Solid organization, project and change management skills
  • Profound commercial and organisational acumen

Educations/Qualifications:

  • BS/BA in Finance/Accounting/ Economics or equivalent.

Additional information:

  • This is a permanent, full-time position
  • The position is based at the T-MEA regional headquarters of Astellas Pharma in Istanbul.
  • Residency in Istanbul is required
  • This position follows our hybrid working model. Role requires a blend of home and a minimum of 3 days in our Istanbul office. Flexibility may be required in line with business needs. Candidates must be located within a commutable distance of the office.
