Job Description

Press Ganey is seeking a vibrant and talented Business Development Associate to join our Payer/Health Plan Sales & Client Management team within the Inside Sales division. As a key contributor, you’ll primarily focus on scheduling demonstrations, meetings and sending marketing material to prospective clients while providing essential support to our sales directors. We’re looking for proactive self-starters who thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Successful candidates will possess strong communication skills, excel under pressure, and display confidence in engaging with new prospects. Responsibilities include:

  • Strategic Prospecting: Conduct research to identify and qualify enterprise brands, strategically prospect leads, and initiate meaningful engagement. 
  • Lead Conversion: Overcome objections and secure meetings for our enterprise sales executives, maintaining active communication through targeted materials. 
  • Outreach: Utilize email and call marketing leads generated through our marketing collateral, ensuring consistent and effective communication. 
  • Pipeline Development: Collaborate closely with sales executives and management to progress opportunities through the pipeline, refining and enhancing your sales skills. 
  • CRM Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date account information in Salesforce, ensuring meticulous data management. 
  • Performance Targets: Meet or surpass monthly targets, primarily focused on scheduling qualified meetings and bolstering the pipeline. 

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year in prospecting and pipeline generation, demonstrating a proactive approach in driving sales.
  • Knowledge of healthcare and/or SaaS software solutions sales and services is preferred.
  • Prospective clients are across the country so working the various time zones is expected.
  • Self-Starter Mentality: Strong time management skills, self-motivation, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively with the Payer/Health Plan team. 
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for effective correspondence via emails and phone calls. 
  • CRM Experience: Proficiency in CRM systems; experience with Salesforce is advantageous. Experience with LinkedIn Sales Navigator and ZoomInfo or similar tools preferred. 
  • Adaptability: Ability to multitask, prioritize effectively, and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced, quota-driven environment. 
  • Persistence: Driven by success, willing to make 100 calls per day, and enthusiastic about contributing to a high-paced work environment.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $54,000 – $70,000. It is not typical for offers to be made at or near the top of the range. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to base salary and a competitive benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus or commission tied to achieved results.
