WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE
The Utilities Engineer will be responsible for the efficient operation, maintenance, and optimization of utility systems, including compressors, ammonia refrigeration, water, gas, HVAC and steam boiler systems. This role ensures compliance with regulatory standards and supports the organization’s sustainability initiatives.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED
Experiences & Qualifications
Utility Systems Management:
- Manage utility systems (water, steam, compressed air, gas, HVAC, ammonia) to ensure continuous and efficient production operations.
- Monitor and analyze utility consumption data to identify opportunities for efficiency improvements and cost savings.
Maintenance and Troubleshooting:
- Develop and execute preventive maintenance schedules for all utility equipment to minimize downtime and prolong the life of assets.
- Quickly respond to and resolve any utility-related issues to maintain uninterrupted production processes.
- Conduct root cause analysis for utility system failures and implement corrective actions.
Compliance and Safety:
- Ensure all utility systems comply with local, state, and federal regulations, including safety, environmental, and industry standards.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits of utility systems and implement necessary improvements.
- Maintain up-to-date documentation for all compliance requirements and safety procedures.
Energy Management and Sustainability:
- Lead initiatives to improve energy efficiency and sustainability within the production facility.
- Implement and manage energy-saving projects, including the adoption of renewable energy sources where feasible.
- Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to energy usage and environmental impact.
Project Management:
- Plan, budget, and oversee utility-related projects, including system upgrades, expansions, and new installations.
- Coordinate with internal teams (production, maintenance, quality control) and external contractors to ensure project timelines and objectives are met.
- Prepare and present project proposals, status reports, and post-implementation reviews.
Team Collaboration and Training:
- Work closely with production and maintenance teams to understand their utility needs and provide technical support.
- Foster a collaborative environment to encourage continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
Technical Expertise and Innovation:
- Stay updated on the latest technologies and advancements in utility systems and energy management.
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies or processes that can enhance utility system performance and sustainability.
- BSc in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
- Minimum 2-3 years of mechanical Maintenance experience, undertaking responsibility ideally in a multinational environment.
- Preferably experience in FMCG,
- Knowledge of utility systems used in FMCG production.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of management.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with aptitude in building relationships with professionals of all organizational levels
- Advanced user of MS Office applications
- Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- Experience with energy management and sustainability practices.
- Technical Drawings and AutoCad knowledge
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to safety and continuous improvement.
- Living (or willing to live) in Corlu.
