Legal Collections & Litigation Senior Manager

What you’ll do

  • Execution of the in-house and outsource prosecution and representation of all kinds Commercial Lawsuits and other lawsuits concerning issues such as Penalty Actions, EMF, Consumer Rights, Intellectual and Industrial Rights, Labour Law, filed in favour of or against the company, including the arbitration proceedings, through national and international judicial bodies 
  • Managing the prosecution and representation of all kinds of Tax, Penal Actions and Administrative lawsuits of the company that may result from the Telecommunications Legislation, Competition Legislation and License Agreement or other disagreements, including the arbitration proceedings, through the national and international judicial bodies 
  • Ensuring timely performance of all legal operations of VF Turkey in compliance with the laws, informing shareholders and managers regarding legal procedures, creating a bridge between shareholders and managers and governmental authorities and institutions, and ensure full legal compliance.
  • Delegating all lawsuits, mediation applications, received documents to the contract Law Offices and/or related Business Units who are responsible for carrying out all cases on behalf of the company, Monitoring Legal Collection and Digital Transformation processes.
  • Reporting periodically Law Offices on their performance, by interfering with their workflow solutions to common problems. Controlling Law Offices in terms of whether they carry out cases according to the strategies and principles defined at the first stage or not. 
  • Following up all developments regarding cases and reporting periodically, including reporting Group Litigation and Finance
  • Leading budget process for litigation cases, controlling costs and tracking expenses of outsourced lawsuits and confirming appropriateness of documents, 
  • Supporting Human Resource department in terms of labour law issues
  • Overseeing the entire legal collection process, managing the team, legal actions for debt recovery
  • Leading reporting process of the status of legal collections, identify tends, areas for improvement, forecasting future recovery

Who you are

  • Graduated from Faculty of Law
  • Bachelor degree required. 
  • At least 15 years of experience in Law
  • Extensive experience in debt collection and litigation
  • Experience in the telecom industry is highly valued.
  • Leadership and team management 
  • Excellent analytical skills and understanding of processes, risk assessments and controls
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills with ability to effectively communicate and influence decision-making with senior management
  • Ability to work with global and cross functional teams.
  • Fluent in English (speaking, writing, reading and listening)
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedures manual.
  • Must be a team player with superior communication (both oral and written), interpersonal and consultative skills
