Program Summary

KBR supports the operational needs of U.S. armed forces at Morón Air Base in Spain and several bases in Türkiye. Our services ensure smooth operations, allowing Air Force and government personnel to focus on their missions. We provide program management, civil engineering, morale, welfare, and recreation support, among other essential services. Awarded by the Air Force Installation Contracting Center, our contract spans a five-year base period with three one-year options, reflecting our commitment to excellence and operational support.

Job Summary

Currently seeking a skilled (Tool & Dye) Machinist to join our KBR Vehicle Maintenance team. This position plays a critical role in ensuring that our military and logistical operations are supported by high-quality manufacturing processes.

Applicant will be required to perform all Machinest duties listed below and associated tasks.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Make Hydraulic hoses and repairs of metal fittings.
  • Design and manufacture fittings, air conditioning hoses, make pipe repairs and reducers.
  • Pulley and idler construction for vehicles.
  • Air and/or oil hose and reel repair and replacement
  • Manufacturing battery pole caps and fasteners.
  • Cutting materials we have with band saw; steel, brass, aluminum, derlin/pom-c, fiber, etc. Machining them on the lathe to make them suitable for assembly by drilling with column drill.
  • Remove and replace broken bolts, nuts, lug nuts and broken hose fittings on the vehicle.
  • Installing HELICOIL on the damaged screws in the vehicle engine body.
  • Make and install engine water plugs.
  • Make, repair, and replace various buttons and knobs to include, handbrake button for vehicles, air conditioner, headlight, radio etc.
  • Manufacture and repair starter bushings, charging dynamos and copper lathe parts.
  • Complete modifications of vehicle parts as needed.
  • Making adapters and connectors for fuel nozzles of fuel-carrying vehicles.
  • Oxygen heating with chamfering and straightening with press.
  • Required to weld for air conditioning pipes and fittings that are copper, aluminum, and steel.
  • Must be certified and or able to get certification for welding all types; aluminum, oxygen acedaline, electric arc, argon welding etc. 
  • Must be able to perform plasma cutting and guillotine sheet metal cutting and bending.
  • Welding broken exhausts and making flanges on a lathe.
  • Make center brake plates, perform brake disc and drum repairs/turning on the lathe.
  • Disassembly and repair of lifting and lowering cylinders of construction machines and special loaders.
  • Will be required to have knowledge in use of key machines to make various types of keys to include, new ignition and door lock keys, repairs of lock cylinders as needed and lock replacements for furniture, lockers etc. 
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring tools and equipment are stored properly.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, and preventive maintenance checks.
  • Maintain and account for a working stock of metals used and collaborate with Materiel Control as required.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and regulations while performing all duties.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs.) and perform physically demanding tasks.
  • Working in various weather conditions and in a shop environment.

Basic Qualifications

  • Turkish Citizenship
  • Minimum High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational training or post-secondary education in machining or a related field preferred.
  • Must have valid driver license (minimum Class B) and driving experience.
  • Ability to speak, read, and write English (level I)
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate clearly with colleagues and supervisors.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Work experience on Air force military base.
  • Advanced degree

All positions require the applicant to obtain and pass a medical physical that is certified by a doctor.

All positions require a current and favorable Turkish Security background check.

All male candidates must have completed their military service.
