Field Service Technician – Packaging

Essential Functions:
As a customer focused technical expert, our Service Technicians run to our customers problems. Troubleshooting, fixing equipment, constantly training, adding visible and meaningful value while building and improving relationships. Reiser Service Technicians are empowered to take care of our customers and their equipment and ensure the success of both parties.
- Take care of our customers and their equipment
- Read diagrams, schematic drawings, engineering specifications and service manuals for continuous learning and to determine best practices.
- Engage with customers on site,
- Analyze equipment performance.
- Troubleshoot to isolate problems.
- Help customers by finding needed part numbers and getting quotes.
- Carry out actions to resolve problems and get equipment back into optimal working condition.
- Reach out, share, and communicate information (corrective actions, equipment status etc.) with customers, team members and suppliers.
- Continuously train customers on operation, maintenance, and sanitation of equipment.
- Document and fill out reports and expenses on a regular basis.
- Support our sales team and keep them in the loop.
- Track, document and return parts used on jobsites.
- Get involved in new projects, improving the safety and performance of equipment.
Requirements
Requirements:
- Two plus years of maintenance/service experience – servicing, troubleshooting and repair of electro-mechanical machinery.
- Practical application of mechanical and electrical engineering principles and techniques to ensure equipment performance at manufacturers specifications.
- Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic power systems, conveyor systems, or control systems.
- Initiative, critical thinking, complex problem solving, judgement and decision making, persistence, attention to detail, adaptability, flexibility, concern for others are all great traits for this role.
- Experience repairing or maintaining Food Processing/Packaging/Automation Machinery experience is highly desirable.
- Bilingual skills are a bonus.
