Part Time Working Student (Production Method Engineering)

For our Method Engineering team, we are seeking a dynamic, motivated, and team-oriented student. The ideal candidate for this position will be able to work part-time during the school year. This function has been established to support & develop process improvement initiatives aiming at achieving lean and efficient organizational processes which will lead a competitive advantage to Siemens Air Insulated Switchgear Community.

What part will you play? 

  • Support production implementation projects for new product.
  • Perform and observe manufacturing operations for analysis
  • Identify opportunities to eliminate waste
  • Address improvement needs from weekly 5S audits
  • Support in administrative tasks such as data entry and collection
  • Conduct time studies and station work content studies (yamazumi)
  • Provide new layout solutions / improve layouts

What you need to make real what matters.

  • 3rd year university student in Industrial / Mechanical / Manufacturing Engineering
  • Able to work minimum 2,5 days/week in Gebze office
  • Working knowledge of MS Office applications
  • Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills
  • Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities
  • Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment
  • LEAN manufacturing knowledge & experience is an important plus
