Your role and responsibilities

Performs analyses of business performance versus budget and forecast and proposes improvement actions Preparing various financial analysis (e.g. cost /revenues/balance sheet). Supporting preparation of financial reporting, cost planning, budgeting and forecasting Take responsibility for the effective execution of month end close routines in accordance with published deadlines Validates accuracy of financial data and business information and reports by performing reconciliations and review of exceptions Provides information to management by assembling and summarizing data, preparing reports, making presentations of findings, analyses Provides high quality management information and support to Local Business Area Controller in financial reporting, business planning, budgeting, forecasting and monitoring of financial performance of divisions Working with the other financial professionals in Divisions / Regions / Countries and functions to understand and analyze the drivers Optimizes own performance to increase productivity by developing automated solutions, eliminating duplications, coordinating information requirements Support internal control and documentation process where needed Ensures processes and controls within own area of responsibility are designed and implemented in line with Group and unit requirements Maintains proper audit trail and documentation for future tax/ internal/external audits and reviews Takes a leading role in the development and continuous improvement of the company’s management reporting systems Be an active member of the ABB Turkey Controlling community, promoting best practice and working toward process harmonization Depending on the candidate’s skillset and overall profile there is a chance to enlarge the local controlling role accordingly Living ABB’s core values: Courage, Care, Curiosity and Collaboration

Qualifications for the role

  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering or related fields
  • 2+ years of experience in Big 4 Audit Firms or Finance, Controlling and Accounting in a multinational company,
  • Strong knowledge of USGAAP is must and IFRS experience is an asset
  • Experience with computerized accounting systems and financial reporting software, including SAP (FI, CO, PS, MM) and PowerBI
  • Outstanding attention to detail, accuracy and ability to multitask
  • Team oriented profile with strong risk management, negotiation and multi-stakeholder management skills
  • Result oriented, self-motivated and analytical mindset
  • Understanding of end-to-end process, systems and data flows across organization at business and finance-side especially in IT systems: ERP, Planning & Reporting tools and integrated solutions
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills Excellent command of written and spoken English
  • Very good knowledge of MS Office applications, Power BI experience is a strong asset
