Jump start your career with Butterball! The Brand Management & Innovation Intern is meant to provide an encompassing experience through a variety of projects that support our business within the Marketing function. You will work with the Brand Management and Innovation teams to provide project management needs supporting a variety of marketing projects. This role supports the brand’s major product and brand marketing initiatives and provides a great hands-on learning experience of marketing fundamentals.   

This internship will be located mainly in the Garner, NC headquarters, with a hybrid in-office work schedule.

The program’s primary objective is to grow future leaders by providing professional development and a series of assignments that aligns with professional interest within the processing and manufacturing industry.   

What you’ll do:  

  • Project management and coordination, including executional tasks for both teams including coordination of cross-functional developmental team meetings, creation of meeting recaps with definitions of critical next steps and timeline development. 
  • Collaborate to create, execute and analyze results of consumer research projects ranging from category opportunity analysis to consumer taste panels. 
  • Analysis of syndicated data to identify category business threats and opportunities, presenting to brand and innovation leadership. 
  • Sales and business support activities like the development of selling stories and hype sheets for key initiatives. 
  • Participate in the development of consumer marketing communications programs to drive the base business and launch innovations including collaboration with the Integrated Marketing Communications team and our agency partners. 
  • Support processing of marketing investments with vendors and the upkeep of marketing budgets.

  • Currently seeking MBA or other marketing master’s degree program student for long-term internship (multiple semesters)  
  • Professional, self-motivated and able to work independently or with a group  
  • General understanding of the marketing function, ideally brand development, product management and new product innovation  
  • Excellence in working with a cross-functional team and building highly effective relationships with key stakeholders  
  • Eye for details and an ability to work constructively with cross-functional teams  
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation building  
  • Superior project management and coordination capabilities–must be able to keep organized and drive timelines
