The role is responsible for leading the development and execution of pricing strategies across Asia Pacific, Middle East, Turkey and Africa (APM) to drive profitability, market competitiveness, and business growth. This person involves setting the overall pricing vision, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives, and optimizing pricing models to maximize revenue while maintaining customer value.
As a strategic pricing leader, the person will collaborate with senior leadership and cross functional teams to analyze market trends, customer behaviors, and competitive landscapes. Use data-driven insights to develop pricing frameworks, implement pricing governance, and enhance pricing effectiveness across products and services.
Additionally, overseeing the pricing operations, manages pricing tools and systems, and ensures compliance with regulatory and contractual guidelines.
In summary, the role plays a part in helping KONE to adapt to market dynamics, improve margin performance, and sustain long-term business success.
What will you be doing?
- Lead pricing development across APM, collaborating closely with Business lines, functions, countries and global, including mindset, new tools, processes and governance
- Develop and implement comprehensive pricing strategies that align with the business lines’ overall transformation goals, and customer lifecycle.
- Work closely with business lines to ensure alignment and support for pricing initiatives, engaging with stakeholders to gather input, address concerns, and build consensus.
- Utilize advanced analytical tools and techniques to analyze pricing data, generate actionable insights, and prepare detailed reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to senior leadership.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in pricing mindset, processes, practices, data and tools.
- Assist in the development and drive the implementation of pricing mindset, data, tools, processes, and governance frameworks, ensuring compliance with best practices, and provide training and support to colleagues, especially offering and sales development managers.
- Lead and mentor FL pricing experts, providing guidance and support to enhance their skills and capabilities, conducting regular performance reviews, and providing feedback to ensure continuous development.
Are you the one?
- At least 10 years of relevant experience with minimum 5 years functioning as a Regional / APAC / EMEA pricing or finance partner to the commercial / business team.
- Should have extensive experience in pricing analytics, and pricing strategies and tools.
- Expert in managing pricing concept for complex offering / solutions that could take up to 5 years to handover, from tendering to completion of project.
- Great at listening, influencing multiple stakeholders of diverse culture and the ability to drive change management.
- Understanding of negotiation and psychology of selling.
- Ability to impart knowledge to the frontlines / countries.
