Associate General Manager

Job Description

The GO Creative Assistant General Manager is a key role within one of RRD’s largest retail clients. The AGM provides division and team leadership support and is regarded by the client as a trusted expert for the agency side of the client’s business. This role will provide thought leadership and will excel in aligning personnel across creative, project management and production. He/she masters and maintains brand standards, direction and strategy and has vast knowledge of the client’s business, the competition and industry trends. The AGM works closely with the division teams including designers, and production team members both on-shore and off-shore to set project milestones, create project timelines and track schedules ensuring all deliverable deadlines are met on time, on brand and to client specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with account, creative and production teams both on-shore and off-shore to manage projects from concept to fulfillment.
  • Oversee several divisions in day-to-day management and optimization of projects.
  • Maintain knowledge of and adherence to division procedures, operations and protocols
  • Provide strategic operational improvements and facilitate execution.
  • Generate project briefs/scoping documents at direction and approval of account team.
  • Provide divisions with appropriate insight into client’s strategic business and branding initiatives.
  • Evaluate work against client’s brand standards.
  • Set project milestones, and track schedules.
  • Proactively manage client to schedule, adjusting for missed milestones and scope creep.
  • Ensure all deliverable deadlines are met for all individuals and parts involved in the process.
  • Monitor client’s budgets for accuracy and timeliness.
  • Proactively set and manage client expectations.
  • Responsible for early detection of issues that may require escalation.
  • Management of vendor engagement and relationship.
  • Serve as main agency liaison for affiliated RRD teams and support.
  • Performs other related duties and participates in special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

Required Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in area relative to the business
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in an Operational Management role in a similar client facing position, preferably in internal communications and/or brand management for print and digital media
  • Expert knowledge of MS Office programs including Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Mac OS, Work Management platforms and/or other technical tools experience preferred
  • Strong technology background with project management experience
  • Proven experience building strong, cohesive and high-performing teams through effective motivation and coaching methods
  • Proven experience leading, developing and training staff

Additional Information

The national pay range for this role is $87300- $153700/ year. The pay range may be slightly lower or higher based on the geographic location of the hired employee. The actual pay offered may vary based upon, but not limited to: education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift and location. In addition to base salary, depending on the role, the total compensation package may also include participation in a bonus, commission or incentive program.
