Job Description

The Opportunity

Based in Turkey, a once in a lifetime opportunity to be part of the EMEA Comms Team specifically looking after the PEM region and their fastest growing markets including Turkey and GCC (Gulf Cooperation Council) countries – Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Oman, Qatar, Kuwait.

Reporting to the Senior Director of Comms, we are looking for a franchise PR Lead, who has strong experience in B2B campaigns, corporate and understands franchise management. The applicant will have experience leading high-profile campaigns on agency side or working for multinational company.

What your Impact will be:

  • In B2B comms, to elevate, amplify and profile Mattel and its key leadership teams in Turkey, Saudia Arabia and United Arab Emirates to help accelerate their work on high profile franchise deals and Mattel leadership in market.
  • In both B2B and Consumer comms, support amplification of high-profile franchise initiatives in region to make their communication campaign as big as possible, creating as much noise for the partner and for Mattel/brand.

Specific Areas of Deliverables will include:

B2B Comms

  • Work with Sr. Director of Comms, develop PR plan and programme for Middle East region for specific B2B proactive outreach.
  • Maintain and lead a comms calendar for B2B opportunities across speaker opportunities like Dubai Retail Summit, trade and industry events across different areas of our franchise operations including toy industry, live events, brands and consumer product events.
  • Identify and secure attendance of our key executives into the key B2B events in market, supporting them with preparation, messaging and Mattel presence at event.
  • Support LinkedIn copy and messaging for key executive leaders in region ensuring they have a high profile and presence working with our LinkedIn consultant to add paid campaigns when relevant.
  • Work with Sr. Director of Comms, develop approved messaged for region and talking points for announcements.

B2B – Consumer

  • Client PR management with high profile partners and customers, working with their comms team to deliver exceptional communication campaigns to launch their campaigns, ensuring excellent quality and positive coverage for the client and by effect Mattel.
  • Maintain a comms calendar of key franchise launches in region highlighting those that will receive additional focus and support
  • Working with the UK- EMEA franchise lead to ensure all press materials, influencers and comms assets from campaign go through the right approval brand/franchise process, ensuring safeguarding of the brands and Mattel’s reputation in region.

Qualifications

What We’re Looking For:

  • 5 Years + PR Experience
  • Experience in agency or large US company in PEM region
  • Project Management experience
  • Excellent media and industry contacts in Turkey and PEM region
  • Digitally savvy including influencer experience
  • Incredible communication skills, willing to collaborate and create a working environment true to the mattel values
