A Business Development Manager is responsible for selling a service within the technical and scientific market sectors/domains. The role is unique and diverse in that the candidate must be motivated and ambitious to use their own initiative. Still, it is essential that they also work closely with the Translation Project Management team to gain an understanding of Future Group’s process/industry and the needs of the client. The candidate should preferably be experienced in market research and data analysis to identify potential B2B high-value leads, and have experience attending networking events and face-to-face meetings within the translation/localization industry.

Responsibilities

  • Generating leads through various channels, including cold calling, networking events, online platforms, and referrals. Building relationships with potential clients, conducting prospecting activities, and creating a robust sales pipeline.
  • Identifying, progressing, and closing new business opportunities.
  • Continuously monitor and analyze competitors’ activities, market trends, and industry developments. Identify competitive advantages and areas for improvement to maintain a leading position in the market.
  • Collaborate with the executive team to develop business strategies aligned with the company’s goals and objectives. Determine target markets, customer segments, and service offerings.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling business proposals, presentations, and pitches to potential clients.
  • Negotiate terms and conditions of contracts, pricing, and other business agreements.
  • Collaboration with internal teams and customers to ensure successful onboarding and project delivery.
  • Develop strategies to expand the company’s market presence and penetrate new target markets. Identify potential distribution channels, strategic partnerships, and acquisition opportunities.
  • Meet or exceed sales targets and revenue objectives.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies, forecast sales volumes, and monitor performance against set goals.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing, product development, and operations, to align business development efforts with overall company objectives. Coordinate cross-functional initiatives to drive growth.
  • Prepare regular reports and presentations on business development activities, sales performance, and market insights.
  • Analyze data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in any relevant major
  • Minimum of 3 years of Proven experience in business development or sales roles in a Translation and Localization industry is a must.
  • Turkish nationality is a must.
  • MUST have experience in selling services in the Turkish market.
  • Proven track record in achieving sales targets.
  • Excellent command of the English language.
  • Strong business judgment with a track record of successful negotiations and overall relationship management.
  • Business acumen with the ability to work with cross-functional teams.
  • Must be able to demonstrate exceptional personal & managerial skills.
  • A highly motivated, ambitious, and flexible individual with a positive can-do attitude.
