CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER (CFO) DHL FREIGHT TURKEY

We are looking for a CFO for our head office which located in İkitelli/ İstanbul.

She/he will be responsible contributing to design and lead the implementation of Finance strategy in Turkey to maintain short and long-term financial health, and partner, advise and challenge the management team in line with country business strategy, financial policies, legal framework and accounting standards.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Craft comprehensive strategy and, lead as line and budget manager for finance function with higher focus on operational finance activities of the country
• Contribute to the definition of the Finance strategy for a medium to large country including all financial management services (Controlling as well as Accounting side), planning, analysis, reporting and budgets considering country business strategy, financial policies, legal framework and accounting standards
• Lead, plan, organize and deliver Finance initiatives, services and processes related to two or more of the Finance Job Families (e.g. a combination of RTR, PTP and Controlling activities) to achieve financial transparency, maintain short and long-term financial health, and advise the management team
• Provide guidance and consulting on financial matters to senior business team, drawing on specialist colleagues as needed
• Ensure efficient networking capital and cashflow management
• Ensure financial service delivery, process improvement, implementation of financial changes
• Resolve complex and more difficult finance issues such as adjusting for taxes, VAT, varying local legal requirements, etc.
• Maintain vendor / service relationship and service level agreements with specific business unit / partner for various financial services
• Develop and implement improvements in existing financial processes, systems and methods for enhanced effectiveness and efficiency. Implementation of new ERP (Oracle)

STAKEHOLDERS:

• Negotiate critical agreements/contracts with other departments and 3rd parties
• Develop strong, trusting relationships with senior business leaders across DHL and partner organizations
• Influence others across DHL and externally as an internally and externally recognized thought leader representing the Group
• Champion cooperation and partnership to provide integrated solutions to problems

MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITY:

• Lead multiple teams of financial managers
• Ensure appropriate talent selection, organization and leadership for major areas of the organization

QUALIFICATIONS & KEY REQUIREMENTS:

Education Level

Professional accountancy qualification and/or Master’s degree in Finance

In depth knowledge of IFRS and Turkish Gaap

Experience Level

More than 10 years experience in a financial management role

Previous experience of ERP implementation

Logistics industry experience preferred

Languages

Turkish and English
