Work Location – Conestoga, PA

  • Hybrid (Remote on Monday’s & Friday’s)

The Consumer Insights Manager makes an impact by –

  • Consumer Research:
  • Design and execute qualitative and quantitative research initiatives to gather insights into consumer preferences, attitudes, and behaviors.
  • Utilize various research methodologies, including surveys, focus groups, interviews, and data analytics, to extract meaningful and actionable insights.
  • Implement Sensory program strategies, develop new sensory methodologies and best practices
  • Market Analysis:
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify opportunities and threats.
  • Provide in-depth analysis of market dynamics, consumer demographics, and competitive landscapes to guide strategic decision-making.
  • Manage subscription-based data and quarterly/annual trend and performance reporting
  • Data Interpretation:
  • Analyze and interpret complex data sets to extract key insights and trends relevant to consumer behavior.
  • Present findings in a clear and compelling manner to cross-functional teams, executives, and stakeholders.
  • Innovation:
  • Work in partnership with Product Marketing and Research & Development to define research needs to fuel multi-year innovation pipeline.
  • Lead sensory evaluations, implement programs, and collaborate with cross-functional teams and outside agencies to identify, vet, and test innovation within our product portfolios.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration:
  • Collaborate with product development, marketing, and sales teams to integrate consumer insights into product strategies, messaging, and go-to-market plans.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to align consumer insights with business objectives and priorities.
  • Technology Utilization:
  • Leverage advanced technologies and tools to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of consumer insights gathering and analysis.
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and methodologies in consumer research to ensure the organization remains at the forefront of industry best practices.
  • Reporting and Documentation:
  • Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations that communicate key consumer insights, trends, and recommendations to key stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate and organized documentation of research methodologies, findings, and recommendations.
  • Ability to turn complex business issues into simple and actionable recommendations.
  • Budget Management:
  • Manage and optimize the budget allocated for consumer insights initiatives, ensuring cost-effective and impactful research projects.

You could be a great fit if you have these things –

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Statistics, Psychology, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • 5-7 years of experience in CPG field, in the Food and Beverage industry
  • Innovation and Research & Development: must be highly creative and possess analytical skills necessary to effectively assess ideas from both internal and external sources
  • Knowledge of Food Science & Sensory Science application
  • Must be self-motivated and have ability to effectively focus and motivate resources
  • A proven track record of turning complex business issues into simple and actionable recommendations
  • Expert at Data visualization and storytelling
  • Strong technical and analytical skills, and a passion for learning and developing new research methodologies
  • Expert knowledge of quantitative & qualitative research techniques and proficiency applying techniques
  • Project and program management skills required with ability to lead and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Be accountable to the Turkey Hill Food Safety and Quality Principles
  • Performs all duties within the established Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) regulations.
  • Follow established programs, policies and practices to produce safe quality foods that meet regulatory and company requirements.
  • Support the development, implementation, maintenance, and ongoing improvement of Safe Quality Foods (SQF) Food Safety and Quality.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned

Physical Demands –

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.

  • The employee is required to talk and/or hear in an office setting (noise level is low) and manufacturing setting where noise levels can be high (PPE required).
  • The employee is frequently required to stand and walk in an office or manufacturing environment from 4-8+ hours.
  • The employee must be able to ascend and descend stairs, and where applicable and when necessary, to perform various job-related tasks
  • Must be able to position self to move, reach with arms/hands, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as needed to perform various job-related tasks
  • The employee must be able to inspect all job-related equipment (office or floor) to ensure it is in good working condition prior to use. Must be able to use hands/fingers to handle (or feel) to operate various types of office equipment.
  • Must be able to operate all job-related equipment (powered, hand or office) as required
  • Vision requirements: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception and adjust focus
  • Ability to lift 20 pounds and/or push/pull 20 pounds on a regular or occasional basis
