DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The primary responsibility of the Customer Service Representative is to facilitate quality and accurate Quotations, Purchase Orders, and Work Orders to ensure customer expectations are exceeded as well as prompt, courteous and professional responses to customer requests. The Customer Service Representative 1 tasked with maintaining and growing the level of sales from current active and past non-active customers, and is able and willing to prospect new business

  • Data entry and accuracy being measured for orders into Oracle
  • Scheduling/delivery coordinating for multiple plant sites
  • Product knowledge, answering questions for customer support
  • Responsible for claims & account reconciliation and transactions
  • Responsible for timely communication back to appropriate function
  • Accepting inbound calls to assist with basic customer needs
  • Liaison for manufacturing and customer
  • Learning designated commercial/industrial product line
  • Quoting to assist Outside Sales

Qualifications

  • Must have high math aptitude to calculate Sq Footage, to assist customers when ordering
  • Must have ability to multi-task, with high level of organization skills
  • Must have ability to learn, comprehend, and apply training as well as use best judgement for case-by-case scenarios
  • Ability to make proactive decisions based on customer needs
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel
  • Project management and negotiation skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills are required 
  • Ability to read building drawings
  • Minimum 2-year post-secondary education required; Bachelor’s degree is desirable
  • 2+ years of construction products sales experience a plus, but not required
  • Bilingual is a plus but not required
  • Previous roofing experience is a plus

  • Full-time is defined as regularly working 30+ hours per week. **Union programs may vary depending on the collective bargaining agreement.

The US hourly range for this full-time position is $24.00 to $25.00 + medical, dental, vision benefits starting day 1 + 401k and PTO. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process. (Full-time is defined as regularly working 30+ hours per week.)
