ABOUT THE TEAM

YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Data Science department in Trendyol consists of 90+ talented data scientists organized under several domains. Each domain is autonomous and empowered to experiment with new ideas while cross-collaboration is strongly encouraged with horizontal structures.
  • As part of the Discovery domain which plays a central role for growth and expansion in Trendyol, you will improve and innovate the personalization effort and recommendation models to create meaningful impacts.
  • Develop recommendation systems, improve user experience by building an exclusive content ecosystem and create an industry leading personalization domain.
  • Apply best practices for working with ML-Ops infrastructure, improve models and infrastructure to optimize recommendation performance.
  • Work with stakeholders throughout the organization to identify opportunities for leveraging company data to drive business solutions.
  • Synthesize methodology and data into actionable business strategy and communicate findings to engineering and management teams as driving business impact.

QUALITIES WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree preferably in Industial Engineering, Computer Science, Statistics, with 1+ years of experience as a Data Scientist or Machine Learning Engineer.
  • Experience in applied data science and a wide range of data science stack of algorithms and models. Knowledge about recommendation and personalization domain is a big plus.
  • Good knowledge of python or other programming language. Experience in one or more of the libraries such as Scikit-learn, PyTorch and TensorFlow is a plus.
  • Good knowledge of SQL and familiarity with best practices.
  • Strong analytical skills with a data driven approach.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Experience with e-commerce or self-service business models is a big plus.
  • The experience range for this position is suitable for specialist/senior specialist and executive/manager (non-team management) roles.

Each division has a pre-set optional office day each week. Based on our preferences, we come together at our offices at our discretion as an opportunity to feel more team spirit, immerse in our culture, and familiarize ourselves with our way of workings.

We offer the opportunity for a two-month full remote work program, allowing you to work from abroad, during the summer period (July to August).
