Job Description

The Director, Indirect Strategic Sourcing Transformation/Growth plans and directs our strategic sourcing model and initiatives and activities for indirect materials and services across MasterBrand Cabinets. This role implements and drives transformation and growth of sourcing maturity and best total cost improvement to meet enterprise growth, reliability, quality, resiliency and financial goals.

This role can be remote-based or work from our office in Jasper, IN or Cleveland, OH.

Responsibilities:

  • Communicate and collaborate with key stakeholders, as well as suppliers, to design and develop best reliability, quality and total cost sourcing strategies.
  • Lead Strategic Sourcing Transformation/Growth Program Management initiatives and activities to drive transformation of sourcing maturity.
  • Implement and drive best total cost improvement initiatives to meet company goals and growth needs.
  • Develop and deploy process to drive performance expectations including compliance, risk, quality, delivery, and best total cost in support of category strategies.
  • Direct standards, procedures, and accountability policies across the indirect spend organization.
  • Drive the use of new and existing supply market data sources in conjunction with best practices to improve current and long-term operational performance. Lead the development and execution of a long-term strategy to collect, store and utilize data related to our supply chains.
  • Lead the charge to develop the analytic network’s capability to provide insights that influence actionable outcomes.
  • Build, develop and lead indirect spend sourcing team; develops people to meet both their career goals and the organization’s objectives.
  • Develop best practices, capitalizing on work in Supply Chain organization on cost modeling, linear price progression (LPP) modeling, supplier workshops, Request for Quotes (RFQ’s), Design for Manufacturing/Assembly (DFM / DFA) and operational costs to meet our required specifications and attributes.
  • Ensure that stakeholders, team members, and suppliers are in compliance with all policies and procedures.
  • Effectively prioritize and problem solve various business needs.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in Sourcing, Operations, Supply Chain or a related field with prior experience managing analytics to drive results and increase value in the supply chain.
  • Deep interest in researching and staying up to date with latest process, tools and technologies in the Sourcing field. Possesses a strong drive to share this knowledge with peers and leadership.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, planning and problem-solving skills.
  • Broad understanding of manufacturing processes. Knowledge of Lean/Six Sigma is preferred.
  • Experience managing sourcing teams, ideally with a focus on indirect spend.
  • Hands on experience with supply chain cost modeling analysis (including tools), LPP’s, RFx, and supplier collaboration
  • Strong knowledge of categories; including understanding of cultural, legal, and geopolitical environment in region doing business. Proven track record with successful negotiation.
