Dockers Merchandise Planner & Allocator Turkey

JOB DESCRIPTION

As Dockers Merchandise Planner you’ll be responsible for driving all planning activities for the Turkish market. 

You will develop a demand plan and provide strong analytical skills to inform the buys for the market with key accounts such as Boyner and Amazon, but also our own and operated stores, our franchisee partner, our own website, and wholesale field accounts. You’ll also be a key stakeholder in influencing financial target discussions and product assortments. This role will act as a trusted advisor to the teams (Merch & Sales) to support our strategy and vision. This position is responsible for working with sales, Merchandising, OTC and inventory management to translate strategic direction & line productivity expectations to customer. 

As Dockers Allocator you will be a trusted member of the Dockers Merchandise Planning team to support brand/category E2E strategy. You will perform product initial allocations to the store level and manage in-season replenishment according to store needs and stock capacities. You will work with your cross functional partners to increase Sell-out opportunities and minimize risk on inventories in-store and across Distribution Centers. You will have direct contacts with strategic customers, so it requires deep sense of communication and negotiation.

Role and Responsibilities 

  • Collaborate with Merchants to develop regional category productivity targets (assortment architecture)
  • Collaborate with Merchandising & Sales to validate top-down targets
  • Develop bottom-up sales & inventory PC9 plan for Retail B&M, Key accounts, field accounts and Dockers.com Turkey
  • Manage reconciliation between bottom-up plans and targets
  • Work with inventory management to ensure consistent in-season allocation & replenishment
  • Conduct quantitative analysis and insights to optimize line profitability, monetize new opportunities and identify risks
  • Providing input to the development of planning reporting and analytics activities to ensure account productivity and inventory investment.
  • Translate seasonal buy plan into orders to stores
  • Support the negotiation process of the weekly replenishment budget by highlighting the real needs
  • Get the right stock in the right stores based on latest Sell-out trends and level of stock
  • Anticipate any stocks needs by following-up the company’s sales and product strategies, the sell-out trends and the seasonal promotional calendar (internal and external).
  • Update weekly allocation parameters to increase store/door sell-through with an automated replenishment system.
  • Report analysis of orders and fill rate; provide ad hoc reporting needs.
  • Build store opening orders for new stores.
  • Visit stores and Customers to gather market intelligence and reflect take outs in replenishment strategy.
  • Understand the market and own the process from end to end
  • Travel: ~ 5%

Qualifications and Education Requirements 

  • Bachelor’s/master’s degree or equivalent in experience
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a planning/forecasting/allocation function, preferably in apparel
  • Demonstrated forecasting/planning expertise and experience in the apparel industry preferred
  • Proven experience understanding retail and wholesale planning and executing exceptional quantitative skills
  • Strong organizational skills, self-motivated, and focused on meeting deadlines
  • Analytical mindset and you can consider yourself as a problem-solver including the ability to quickly identify effects from consumer, internal, and marketplace information.
  • Effective multi-tasker, with strong ability to interact with multi-functional stakeholders
  • Demonstrated innovative problem solving and entrepreneurial skills
  • Skilled team member who possesses exceptional analytical, communication and influencing skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact across the organization
  • Proficient in Excel, any other tools are a plus like SAS, SAP, Laris
  • Fluent in English and Turkish
