THE ROLE:

We are looking for the potential candidate for Drinks Director position in our Legendary Hotel Hilton Istanbul Bosphorus.

What will I be doing?

As a Drinks Director, specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

Business Function

  • Monitor the division’s performance and service standards by analyzing of guest feedback and financial results, and initiate corrective action as needed.
  • Identify opportunities to increase profits and create value by challenging existing processes, encouraging innovation and driving necessary changes.
  • Ensure the drinks team is properly trained, certified and equipped to effectively carry out their responsibilities.
  • Provide mentoring, coaching and regular feedback to manage conflict and improve performance.
  • Prepare and monitor Beverage budgets, with focus on controlling expenses and ensure targets and objectives are met.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of our bars, ensuring service standards
  • Assist in conducting monthly inventory checks on all operating equipment and supplies

Managing Execution

  • Lead the management and coordination of drinks operations, ensuring quality and service standards are met.
  • Ensure a high standard of guest service, addressing and resolving any complaints or issues promptly and professionally.
  • Curate, plan and execute promotional activities and special events
  • Manage guest queries in a timely and efficient manner.

Developing Talent

  • Assist in recruiting, training, and managing the drinks team, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment Create tailored personal development plans for team members, focusing on skill enhancement and career growth.
  • Conduct performance appraisals, provide feedback, and develop team members to achieve their full potential.
  • Model the Company’s culture, vision, mission and core values.
  • Proven leader who can coach, guide and build a high performing team
  • Mentor and provide career development opportunities for bartenders and drinks staff, strengthening loyalty and reducing turnover.

Building Relationships

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with guests, ensuring their needs and preferences are anticipated and met. Evaluate guest satisfaction levels with a focus on continuous improvement
  • Work closely with other departments such as the kitchen, operations, and marketing to coordinate events, promotions, and special offerings.
  • Establish and nurture strong relationships with suppliers, distributors, and manufacturers of spirits, wines, mixers, and bar tools.
  • Build relationships with the local community through collaborations with charities, local events, or sponsorships that align with the venue’s values.
  • Build a cohesive, motivated, and high-performing bar team by fostering trust, communication, and mutual respect.
  • Support sustainability initiatives and environmentally responsible practices, gaining goodwill and positive public perception.
