EMEA Lean Transformation Expert

WHAT TO EXPECT

As an innovation leader, we look for ambitious, forward thinking, open-minded and well-rounded individuals to join our global team. Based in our manufacturing facility in Kemalpaşa, you will be reporting to the EMEA Lean Transformation Manager who is based in Legnica (Poland) and you will join the EMEA Lean Transformation Team in charge of driving continuous improvement projects across the region. 

  • Your main responsibility will be to deploy and cascade all facets of the Gates Production System (GPS) throughout our European facilities.
  • This position is critical to Gates as it will play a major role in evaluating manufacturing processes to increase productivity.
  • This is an exciting opportunity that will lead you to travel regularly to our European Plants to ensure they are equipped with the skills and knowledge to develop and maintain the lean manufacturing activities within the facility.

Key responsibilities:

  • Working with leadership team to identify key projects that provide most benefits to Gates Europe
  • Ensuring standardized global GPS policies and procedures are adopted by all European facilities to eliminate deviation and providing training to the plants as necessary
  • Actively supporting the ongoing personal development and GPS activities of the SME’s to facilitate the continual progression of GPS.
  • Developing, modifying and implementing processes, methods and controls
  • Leading Kaizen European Events from concept to competition
  • Reporting progress on defined projects

ABOUT YOU

  • Minimum 5 years of Lean Manufacturing/Continuous Improvement experience with record of results in a manufacturing environment. A Six Sigma certification is a great asset
  • Thorough working knowledge of lean manufacturing tools and techniques
  • Excellent Project Management skills with strong sense of time management and ability to manage high workload while meeting deadlines. Excellent organizational with independent, targeted and structured way of working
  • Strong team leadership skills with demonstrated ability to facilitate meetings.
  • Outstanding influencing and interpersonal skills with ability to interact effectively with all employee levels in a positive, cooperative, and productive manner.
  • Ability to train others to effectively use problem solving tools
  • Proficiency in Excel, Power Point, Minitab
  • Fluency in English is must

This position requires frequent travels in EMEA, sometimes for extended period of times depending on the priorities.
