The Opportunity

This position works out of our Istanbul location in the Vascular Division which is the world’s leader in drug-eluting stents. Abbott Vascular has an industry-leading pipeline and a comprehensive portfolio of market-leading products for cardiac and vascular care, including products for coronary artery disease, vessel closure and endovascular disease.

As the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for providing high-level decision support, reporting, forecasting and analysis processes for the vascular business as well as be involved in driving key projects. As a key contributor at the core of the business that deliver results to drive business success.

The position will be a part of an international finance team and will be reporting directly to the Emerging Markets Financial Controller based in Dubai.

What You’ll Do

  • Ensure that all financial activity is completed in accordance with Abbottpolicies and proceduresas well as local laws and regulations.

  • Manage and report the financial results each month for Turkey, ensuring proper timeliness, accuracy, and insightfulanalytics, including quarterly LBEs and Plans.

  • Ensure growth andtalent developmentofFinanceandCustomer Servicestaff.

  • Building strong financial and commercial awareness within business and partnering with theCountry Managerand Regional GM inimplementing salesstrategies that have an incrementalimpacton market share gains and operating income.

  • Ability to handle distributors with strong acumen of drivingbusiness reviewsandnegotiations.

  • Defining and implementing best practiceplanningand control techniques in line with business needs

  • Assistingmarketingto analyzemarket intelligenceinformation, including share results against share objectives across one of the Medical Devices more complex portfolios.

  • Work closely with financial controller / Regional GM on profit maximization, resourceprioritization, and day-to-day operations. Anticipate internal and external trends that canimpactbusiness.

  • Provideleadershipand build, maintain and developFinanceteam– seen as a collaborator andteam player.

  • Manage a team of 2 direct reports, includingcustomer serviceteam.

Required Qualifications

  • University degree inFinance/Accounting

  • 5+ years offinance/accounting related work experience, MBA, ACCA, CPA, or CIMA desirable

  • Demonstrated working knowledge of business,finance and accountingfundamentals including U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

  • Fluent in English

  • Experience instrategic analysis&planning and execution,performance metrics,project evaluationandcommercial acumen.

  • Strongbusiness senseand ability to grasp complex situations quickly and across functions (Marketing,Supply Chain, Sales)

  • Experienced in dealing with distributors.

  • Ability to successfully work with senior executives and provide sound strategic guidance regarding business opportunities and challenges.

  • Experience in working within an international organization and multicultural environment is highly desirable.
