Volvo Car Turkey – Let’s introduce ourselves

We are a National Sales Company responsible for sales and marketing of Volvo Cars products in Türkiye. We are currently hiring a Financial Controller in our Finance Team. You will report to our CFO and be based in Istanbul.

What you’ll do

As a Financial Controller you will be the bridge between the Accounting Team, Cluster and Business stakeholders. You will be mainly responsible for planning, targeting and forecasting procedures and communicate to all stakeholders within the company. You will also prepare management reports with respect to actuals, outlooks and perform ad hoc analysis.

Other responsibilities:

  • Delivering high quality service and support to operations
  • Providing support to local, regional and functional management by communicating information on the Company’s performance, key drivers, etc.
  • Actively engaging and supporting the target setting process by gathering target elements, populate and evaluate financial plan and KPIs.
  • Actively identifying areas for improvement and ensure continuous development of financial processes with a global mindset
  • Managing outlooks on monthly basis, by focusing on new assumptions, actual performance and changes in business environment

What you’ll bring

We are looking for someone with strong business acumen and with some years of experience as a Controller working in a multinational environment.

Other requirements:

  • University degree in Business, Economics or equivalent
  • Around 3-5 years of experience in Finance, Business Development or Planning areas
  • Ability to interpret, analyze and communicate financial information in a clear and concise way
  • Good system understanding and efficient data handling
  • Wide and deep professional experience in the subject area
  • Knowledge of finance processes and policies and full ability to apply these in the daily work
  • Experience in executing global processes locally and working effectively in a global team
  • Fluent in Turkish and English, oral and written

Competencies:

  • Ability to plan and prioritize with a flexible and positive mind-set
  • Proven understanding of the business, the business strategies and goals along with a financial awareness
  • Full knowledge and understanding of the financial steering model
  • Ability to deal with most upcoming situations within the work area, limited guidance provided by senior personnel in complex areas.
  • Very good analytical skills
  • Service-minded and curious
  • Personal ownership and accountability
  • Ability to propose and implement improvements and independently work towards fulfilling targets and realise agreed business benefit
  • Very good communication and cooperation skills
