Head of General Accounting,Türkiye

About this Position

We are looking for an experienced and strategic Head of Accounting to lead our General Accounting (GA) and Tax operations at Henkel Türkiye. This role will lead a team of financial professionals, develop strategies for improving the efficiency and accuracy of accounting and tax processes and overseeing the preparation and analysis of financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and regulations (e.g. IFRS, Tax etc.). The ideal candidate will drive financial reporting, compliance, and internal controls while serving as a key advisor to the local organization 

What you´ll do

• Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements preparation, including coordination of auditor-related requirements and execution of financial analyses
• Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in compliance with IFRS and Henkel Accounting Guidelines
• Organize and facilitate communication across GA, Tax, and Executive Committees on closing, reporting, and tax matters
• Drive optimization of the organizational structure, ensuring efficient support and compliance
• Lead and develop a team of finance professionals, encouraging cross-functional contributions
• Foster a collaborative and results-oriented work environment.
• Drive operational excellence and ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal controls
• Serve as a business partner to internal teams, providing guidance on financial reporting and tax related matters
• Manage external audits and coordinate closing activities with auditor
• Handle other ad-hoc responsibilities requested by management

What makes you a good fit

• University degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
• Minimum 10 years of relevant work experience in accounting at a multinational or Big 4 accounting firm
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, financial reporting, and Turkey’s legal & fiscal requirements
• Profound professional experience in finance and controlling
• Practical experience with SAP, especially SAP S/4 HANA, is preferable
• Proven team management experience
• Fluency in English is a must
