Accountant, General Accounting – Türkiye
Responsibilities will include:
- Assist in preparation of the month-end close of Turkish entities under ADI group for US GAAP and Local Management Accounts.
- Preparation of monthly P&L and Balance Sheet reconciliations.
- Posting and analysis of monthly accruals and prepayments.
- Assist in the preparation of Annual Statutory Financial Statements.
- Assist in Accounts Payable process.
- Generation of monthly cash forecasts.
- Review & Approval of travel expenses.
- Assist with payroll and related activities.
- Assist with Intercompany process.
- Assist in the accounting for Fixed Assets.
- Assist with monthly local statutory returns including Technopark submissions, statistical reports etc
- Ensure compliance with Sox control procedures and corporate policies and local regulation.
- Liaise with external accounting partner, tax office, tax advisor, bank and other authorities and institutions as required.
- Assist in streamlining processes and update of manuals and local policies.
- Actively seek to implement continuous improvement in area of responsibility.
- AD hoc Duties as required.
Qualification:
- Hold a relevant Finance / Accounting degree and appropriate professional qualification in Accounting.
- Minimum 4 years of relevant professional experience in connection with the abovementioned responsibilities.
- Knowledge of Turkish General Applied Accounting Principles.
- Knowledge of Turkish Tax Legislation.
- Knowledge of Research & Development legislation would be an advantage.
- Knowledge U.S GAAP would be an advantage.
- Good working knowledge of SAP would be an advantage.
- Good Excel knowledge.
- Good written and spoken English language skills.
- Exposure to working in a multicurrency environment.
- High sense of urgency is crucial.
- Hands on pragmatic approach to problem solving.
- Highly effective communicator.
- Highly motivated and work well on own initiative.
- An ability to work to tight deadlines and handle multiple issues simultaneously.
