Accountant, General Accounting – Türkiye

Responsibilities will include:

• Assist in preparation of the month-end close of Turkish entities under ADI group for US GAAP and Local Management Accounts.
• Preparation of monthly P&L and Balance Sheet reconciliations.
• Posting and analysis of monthly accruals and prepayments.
• Assist in the preparation of Annual Statutory Financial Statements.
• Assist in Accounts Payable process.
• Generation of monthly cash forecasts.
• Review & Approval of travel expenses.
• Assist with payroll and related activities.
• Assist with Intercompany process.
• Assist in the accounting for Fixed Assets.
• Assist with monthly local statutory returns including Technopark submissions, statistical reports etc
• Ensure compliance with Sox control procedures and corporate policies and local regulation.
• Liaise with external accounting partner, tax office, tax advisor, bank and other authorities and institutions as required.
• Assist in streamlining processes and update of manuals and local policies.
• Actively seek to implement continuous improvement in area of responsibility.
• AD hoc Duties as required.

Qualification:

• Hold a relevant Finance / Accounting degree and appropriate professional qualification in Accounting.
• Minimum 4 years of relevant professional experience in connection with the abovementioned responsibilities.
• Knowledge of Turkish General Applied Accounting Principles.
• Knowledge of Turkish Tax Legislation.
• Knowledge of Research & Development legislation would be an advantage.
• Knowledge U.S GAAP would be an advantage.
• Good working knowledge of SAP would be an advantage.
• Good Excel knowledge.
• Good written and spoken English language skills.
• Exposure to working in a multicurrency environment.
• High sense of urgency is crucial.
• Hands on pragmatic approach to problem solving.
• Highly effective communicator.
• Highly motivated and work well on own initiative.
• An ability to work to tight deadlines and handle multiple issues simultaneously.
