We are seeking a dynamic, motivated, and team-oriented individuals as Maintenance & Toolshop Manager whose role will be to lead Maintenance team and play a pivotal role in ensuring equipments, machines, and infrastructure are operating available, reliable and safe in our Electrical Products Factory. What are my responsibilities?

· Lead, train, and supervise the maintenance and toolshop team, fostering a culture of safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement.

· Schedule, assign, and prioritize maintenance and toolshop activities, ensuring timely and efficient completion.

· Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching to team members.

  • Develop, implement, and manage maintenance policies and procedures.

  • Monitor all tool making processes at different stages, and provide direct support for Technicians if needed.

  • Work with engineering to identify problems with performance or tool life and recommends solutions or enhancements.

  • Plan overall set up of tools needed for production sequences and processes planned, track tool life and history.

· Plan and oversee all repair and installation activities, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.

· Conduct regular inspections of facilities and systems to identify and address maintenance needs.

· Maintain a preventive maintenance program to reduce downtime and extend equipment life.

· Ensure all maintenance activities adhere to health and safety regulations and company policies.

· Implement and enforce safety protocols, conducting safety training sessions as needed.

· Maintain records of safety inspections, audits, and compliance certifications.

· Prepare and manage maintenance and toolshop budget, controlling expenses and optimizing resource allocation.

  • Oversee the inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment, ensuring availability and proper stock levels.

  • Communicate effectively with senior management, providing updates on issues and projects.

· Negotiate contracts with external vendors and service providers for maintenance-related services.

· Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, work orders, and equipment maintenance logs.

· Prepare regular reports on maintenance and toolshop performance metrics, costs and activities.

· Collaborate with other departments/external suppliers and service providers to coordinate activities and support overall operational goals.

· Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings.

What do I need to qualify for this job?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical engineering or a related engineering field.

  • Minimum 8+ years of relevant experience.

  • 3+ years of proven experience as Maintenance Manager or in a similar management role.

  • Proficiency in English both written and spoken. German will be an asset.

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills & techniques.

  • Experience of Lean Six Sigma methodologies and tools for continuous improvement.

  • Experience in “ERP” software and tools, e.g. SAP

  • Proficiency in Solidworks and/or Autocad.

  • Experience and proven records in “maintenance management” systems/software, preventive/predictive maintenance and TPM.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

  • Knowledge of health and safety practices and regulations.

  • Strong project management skills.

  • Able to handle multiple, complex priorities and balance the needs of each according to business impact.

  • Strong organizational, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
