Job Description:

At Analog Devices Automotive Cabin Experience Business Unit, you will be able to work together with a global team, who has designed and introduced many successful products that won sockets from top car makers in Europe, Asia, and the USA. We, as AVDS SerDes group, are developing integrated circuits for automotive high-speed serial data communications for next generation safety and infotainment systems.

As a principal design engineer, you will be part of a global design team, and have opportunity to work with cross functional teams to design and verify complex mixed-signal integrated circuits developed in AVDS SerDes group.

Main responsibilities:

  • Supporting feasibility and definition of product requirements of high-speed data communication products with the Product Definer responsible of the product.
  • RTL design of owned blocks using SystemVerilog
  • Creating/managing verification plans by understanding the top-level design and working with other design engineers.
  • Block and top-level RTL and gate level verification and regressions using SystemVerilog
  • Supporting Synthesis, STA, DFT and Place and Route supervision
  • Bench validation of owned functions
  • Working with test engineers in helping them finalizing their test programs towards product introduction
  • Answering customer & apps questions as needed
  • Managing and leading IC design projects from definition to introduction

Preferred Qualifications & Experience:

  • MSEE or PhD with specialization in IC Design (VLSI).
  • At least 12+ years of experience in digital design
  • High speed and low power RTL Design and Verification using Hardware Description Languages (preferably System Verilog)
  • Hands-on experience in digital design & verification tools and methodologies
  • Experience in synthesis, DFT and supervision of timing driven Place and Route
  • Experience in IC design project management and taking IC’s from definition to series production
  • Background in UVM Verification and experience in Video/Audio communication and processing is a plus
  • Good Communication / presentation skills in English and teamwork skills
