Your role and responsibilities

We seek for Procurement Specialist who will be able to demonstrate knowledge in ABB in Process Automation, Energy Industries in Istanbul. Designs and implements plans for local sourcing to reach the business targets. Supports regional and global strategic sourcing initiatives as required, Applies and implements procurement standards, tools and processes in the area of responsibility to secure quality, delivery, cost and sustainability, Executes purchasing and logistics strategies to support the business by optimizing costs, quality, and reliability, Identifies new suppliers in cooperation with relevant category team. Qualifies new suppliers in cooperation with Supplier Quality and Engineering specialists, Analyze and evaluate bids to determine the optimal value, Tracking goods received to verify appropriate delivery and ensure invoice processing, Overseeing supplier performance (on-time delivery, quality, lead time) and resolving performance issues, Aligning supplier orders with customer requirements in terms of content, quality, delivery, sustainability and price, Initiate purchase orders (PO) in the system, according to the purchase requisitions and in alignment with standard procedures, and confirm delivery with suppliers, monitor, and track supplier performance to purchase order requirements.

Qualifications for the role

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or relevant field,
• Min 3 years experience in the Procurement and/or Supply Chain field in a technical systems environment, preferably electrical, automation, instrumentation systems,
• Experience in Oil, Gas, Chemical, Refining, Power Generation and Water segments would be a plus,
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team,
• Good command of English,
• Turkish language is a must.
