Production Planning Specialist

Job Description Summary

The position will be involved various continuous improvement workshops, management of customer orders, production planning, and challenging production to drive incremental and step-function improvements in safety, quality, delivery, and cost (especially inventory and productivity). This person will work closely with production, procurement, project management and sales departments, and will develop and execute a component planning for assigned product families in accordance with requirements established by MPS.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Create and develop component planning in accordance with master production schedule
  • Prepare production plans according to weeks/days of production lines
  • Reflect the changes in poduction plan to SAP and manage work orders
  • Determine manpower, equipment needed to cover production demand Suggest actions in case of any demand change
  • Assign workers and other staff to production operations
  • Schedule shift according to production needs
  • Monitor jobs to ensure they will finish on time and within budget
  • Address issues when they arise aiming for minimum disruption
  • Join QRDM meetings to monitor production execution and identify any shortages or bottlenecks
  • Obtain production outputs and feed the data for KPI management boards (number of WIP and finished products etc.)
  • Prepare and submit status and performance reports
  • Keep paperwork organized

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, preferably in industrial, electrical, or mechanical engineering
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in material or production planning area
  • Strong oral and written language skills in English
  • Comfortable in hybrid working conditions
  • SAP program knowledge is a must
  • Ability to live in Istanbul or Kocaeli
