R&D Project Engineer (m/f/d)

We are looking for a new colleague in our Research & Development Tie Rod team (CDCJ33) at our location in Izmir, Turkey.

Tasks: 

• Project management within the framework of the job description for a project engineer 
• Independent project planning / coordination in accordance with the agreed-upon development process (concept to series-production phase) and in adherence to the specified project milestones 
• Development according to cost-related, functional, and production-related criteria based on the Customer and ZF specifications 
• Preparation/Organization of detailed design studies, product specifications/drawings, FMEA, simulations and calculations 
• Creation of all required documentation (bills of material etc.) in the PDM, PLM systems 
• Supporting project engineers to provide subject matter expertise in fastener and joint design
• Taking an active role for validation of joint designs and recommending torque specifications
• Recommend appropriate fasteners and corrosion coatings based on application requirements
• Resolve fastening issues occurring testing of prototype and production builds

Profile:

• University Degree with a related engineering specialization 
• At least two-years’ experience, preferably experience with designing steering or suspension components at multinational companies
• At least two years of experience with 3D design systems (Catia V5 preferred) 
• At least one year of experience in fastener industry
• Technical background with a strong understanding of mechanical or automotive engineering and knowledge of automotive customer standards and requirements 
• Fluent in both spoken and written English and Turkish, German or Italian language skill is a plus
