Quality Assurance Engineer

For our Smart Infrastructure Distribution Systems Business Unit, we are looking for Quality Assurance Engineer. This role will be responsible for supporting the organization regarding manufacturing process quality activities including, quality planning, process audits, supplier quality, continuous improvement activities, reporting Quality KPIs for our medium and low voltage distribution systems manufacturing plant.

What are my responsibilities?

• Support QMS (Quality Management System) where appropriate based on Siemens QM policy and strategy,
• Support quality planning of manufacturing by creating and maintaining Quality Plans
• Act as mentor for Continuous Improvement Activities
• Report key Quality KPIs
• Actively support and coach organization in solving nonconformities.
• Plan and perform audits, assessments and follow up improvement actions,
• Support Supplier Quality Activities by performing audits and/or supporting SQM in solving supplier quality issues in production
• Perform Quality Trainings, i.e problem solving, FMEA etc.

What do I need to qualify for this job?

• Bachelor Degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering,
• Very good command of English both written and spoken is a must, German knowledge is an asset,
• Proficiency in MS Office Applications,
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Process Quality and Process Management activities
• Minimum 5 years of experience in moderating problem solving activities (8D, A3 etc.)
• Minimum 5 years of experience in (Make-to-order or Engineering to Order type of ) production and/or quality management. Air Insulated Switchgear Product knowledge experience is an asset
• Proven experience in Quality Management System Auditing
• Proven experience in managing and leading teams without given authority.
• Lean Expert Certification is an Asset
• Experience in application of portals /tools of office365 i.e Sharepoint Online, Power Automate, Power Tools etc. is an asset.

What else do I need to know?

• Able to work and manage priorities in a demanding environment and support managing production
• Self starter to getting things done
• Able to lead without given authority
