Primary Purpose of the Position

Direct and manage all sales activities within Turkey and ensure sustained and profitable business growth. Develop the country sales plans with strategic sales activities through consolidated approach with the scope of accelerating distribution, channel development and

Align strategic direction and detailed plans internally and with external partners. Develop and grow organizational capabilities and capacity. Manage, develop and motivate associates in order to build bench strength and succession.

In alignment with regional leadership, develop business plans for Turkey.

Key Responsibilities

  • Understand market needs, trends, dynamics, and the competitive landscape. Achieve area objectives as set in the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and in line with PBU strategies. Maximize earnings by driving profitable top line growth in the right mix by brands/segments.
  • Ensure that an efficient sales team is in place to secure stable and profitable business growth. Coach and lead direct reports with clear objectives and commitment to individual development. Make sure succession planning is in place for all key positions. Develop and motivate the team in line with organizational targets on sales competencies.
  • Manage and focus on customer and business relationships. Provide business support to existing customers in the development of their business to sustain market growth in core segments and channels. Strengthen relationships with partners by regular meetings and continuous assessment of performance against agreed business plans.
  • Ensure clear focus on, and in depth understanding of channels for each product segment. Assist customers in focusing on the correct strategic channels, development and maintenance of retail with a focus on sell out activities.
  • Support the execution of all regional marketing programs and initiatives in areaS of responsibility.

Key Experiences

  • Proven (15+ years) in sales management with multiple brands and routes to market.
  • Experience in B2C and B2B environments.
  • Track record as a manager and leader of others; experienced in coaching, developing, and driving performance of large sales teams.
  • Strong experience working with complex distribution channels and dealer networks.
  • Experience working in large complex business with matrix organisation preferred.
  • At least 10 years of broad managerial experience in sales and marketing
  • University degree in business administration, marketing, engineering, or a related field is required.
  • Master’s degree in business administration or a related field is desired.
