Sales Engineer, Food Retail

Job Description

Danfoss Climate Solutions, a global market leader in energy efficiency products and technologies in its core markets of HVAC-R, is looking for a Sales Engineer based in İstanbul to join our team.

The successful candidate will represent Danfoss, engaging directly with Food Retail customers to drive sales, maintain relationships, and contribute to market analysis and strategic sales initiatives.

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following. 

  • Represent Danfoss as a Sales Engineer, engaging directly with customers to promote and sell our products and solutions,
  • Launch, promote, and sell Danfoss offerings to customers, while maintaining strong relationships and providing technical expertise and product information,
  • Monitor market trends, competitors, and distributors, contributing to the development of sales materials and strategies,
  • Utilize Sales Force (CRM) system daily, actively participate in marketing initiatives, and collaborate within the regional Sales team at our Istanbul office,
  • Measure success through customer satisfaction, timely deal closures, and the growth of both customer base and sales revenue,
  • Maintaining and cultivating customer relationships with an emphasis on key decision makers and frequently visiting customers to improve overall visibility and customer loyal.

The ideal candidate possesses these skills. 

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Business or Engineering with relevant experience,
  • 5+ years of experience in HVAC/R, ideally with OEM, Food Retail Cold Chain Manufacturers and relevant sector,
  • Good knowledge of cooling systems and technologies of the product,
  • Capability to understand and analyze the interactions between the refrigerating circuit components, their impacts on reliability and efficiency,
  • Automation knowledge for refrigeration applications, compressor racks, chillers, custom air conditioning systems,
  • Outgoing personality, interpersonal and presentation skills,
  • Ambitious and self-motivated,
  • Customer focused – coordination and communication skills,
  • Agile relationship builder and team player in a global environment,
  • Native in Turkish and fluent in English,
  • Ability to travel.
