Job Description

In this compelling leadership position, you will be accountable for assessing and identifying potential risks that may threaten our reputation, safety, security, and/or financial success, as well as communicate and collaborate with key stakeholders across the enterprise and understand business objectives. This position will serve as a key member of the Multifamily Enterprise Risk Management team with primary responsibly for leading the team that is focused on oversight of pre-acquisition and pricing activities associated with multifamily loans.

The Multifamily Third Party Report Oversight Senior Director role will offer you the flexibility to make each day your own, while working alongside people who care so that you can deliver on the following responsibilities:

  • Lead team responsible for oversight of Multifamily third-party reports including appraisals and engineering reports.
  • Build out oversight framework to enhance ability to provide real-time feedback and effective challenge of the Multifamily business as it relates to appraisal, property condition and environmental risks.
  • Develop a training program and provide training for both internal and external stakeholders on appropriate, critical 3rd party report review and analysis.
  • Collaborate with executive leaders, your team, and other key stakeholders to establish annual oversight plan.
  • Serve as subject matter expert to internal stakeholders as it relates to Multifamily appraisal, property condition and environmental risks.
  • Advise on risk mitigation strategies and approaches including control gaps and risk assessments.
  • Document and present findings and/or conclusions of analysis to key stakeholders and senior management in a thoughtful and persuasive manner.
  • Partner with Multifamily and other stakeholders to carry out business strategies that will drive success and ensure safety and soundness in the face of shifting market conditions and regulations.

Qualifications

Minimum Required Experiences

  • 8 years related experience
  • Multifamily experience
  • Demonstrated experience leading a team
  • Prior experience with credit risk, loan quality analysis, or risk assessment and risk management
  • Familiar with commercial appraisal practices
  • Familiar with industry-standard Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA) physical condition rating scale and relevant commercial construction/ environmental guidelines
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Advanced Excel skills

Desired Experiences

  • 12 years related experience
  • GSE experience
  • Bachelor degree or equivalent; Master degree preferred
