Job Description

Informa Connect Foodservice is looking for an innovative, passionate Senior Editor to contribute to Restaurant Hospitality (RH), the No. 1 publication featuring news, insights, and thought leadership for independent restaurants and chefs. This person will further RH’s market-leading position by developing, reporting, and writing high-quality content that drives audience engagement across digital, social, and multimedia platforms.

JOB FUNCTION

  • Contribute daily stories reporting on news from across the restaurant industry
  • Develop and create high-quality enterprise stories with regular frequency
  • Assign, copy edit, and collaborate with team of freelancers contributing regular weekly content
  • Manage annual content calendar and coordinate necessary assets in advance
  • Collaborate with sales team to develop new content products with revenue potential
  • Contribute to sister publication Nation’s Restaurant News where applicable
  • Assign and copy edit content from editors at Nation’s Restaurant News when relevant
  • Follow audience analytics and develop content such as galleries, lists, and accolades to support
  • Cultivate restaurant industry expertise and leverage in content and external appearances
  • Maintain strong relationships with industry sources and company contacts
  • Participate in and create relevant multimedia content, including videos and podcasts
  • Keep RH’s social media presence up to date and active
  • Moderate virtual and live panels and conversations hosted by RH
  • Travel to industry conferences for continued education, networking and as ambassador for RH
  • Support overall publication strategy through interactions with editorial director and leadership team

Qualifications

  • Proven relevant senior level of editorial experience
  • Deep knowledge of quality content expectations through editing, style guides, attention to detail, and multimedia production
  • Experience working across various platforms including print, digital, social and multi-media
  • Strong time management and project management skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Knowledge of restaurant industry preferred
  • Knowledge of CMS platforms
  • Experience with workflow tools like Trello, Slack, SharePoint a plus
  • Strong verbal and written skills
  • Travel 5% by ground or air to major industry and business events
