Senior Professional, Retail Marketing, Visual Merchandising, Turkey

Based in Turkey, you will be part of the Turkish marketing team. This team will be accountable for:

  • Bringing our Consumer Fields of Play to life in the territory through key relationships with the faces (individuals and communities) & places that matter most to dimensionalize Running, Fitness, and Football, and leveraging our on-the-ground connectivity to youth, sport & culture
  • Amplifying our through complementary executions on the ground that build off Global-Geo campaigns, eg through pinnacle activations
  • Ensuring our Nike Sport Marketplace on the ground in Turkey, shows up as pinnacle and sharply connected to our Field of Play visions
  • Fuelling our global engine with sharp, relevant consumer insights that can scale

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for an experienced and talented marketeer with a passion for movement, a curiosity for our young consumer, and an unrelenting desire to build deeper relationships with them. A marketeer with prior retail marketing experience, and a marketeer keen to strive for better ways to engage with our consumers through testing, learning & iterating. And of course, a marketeer willing to adapt on the fly, all while maintaining a positive growth mindset. 

What will you work on?

As Senior Professional, Retail Marketing, Visual Merchandising, you will be part of the Turkish Marketing function, reporting directly to the Manager, Retail Marketing. In this role core duties will include:

  • Driving the planning and execution of seasonal and daily VM ethos and approach across the Nike Sport Marketplace in Central to drive inspiration whilst serving the business.
  • Obsessing the consumer & member journey through store and making sure our Nike Fleets inspire the Berlin consumer in a meaningful way.
  • Driving education of our store based Visual Merchandising teams to be able to drive the best store experience every day and maintain our standards..
  • Owning KPI’s which define your success metrics and delivering against them by owning the read & respond process
  • Working collaboratively with our Consumer Insights function, Store teams and Retail team to continuously understand how consumers shop and build this into our executional plans.
  • Managing, developing & empowering a team of professionals & specialists

Who will you work with?

In this role you will work fluidly across the full Turkish marketing team, and working with cross-functional marketing partners to bring your vision to life for our consumers in Turkey. You will work closely with the Nike Direct team, at Turkey and EMEA level, and you will also work closely with the EMEA Visual Merchandising & Styling team to stay abreast of latest strategies and help share best practices. 

You will report directly into the Manager, Retail Marketing, Turkey and dotted line report into the Retail Marketing group in EHQ.

You will also work cross-functionally in the Turkey office with key partners such in service of our athletes, consumers and members. 

The shape of your day-to-day work will vary significantly, and therefore your style and influence will have to adapt accordingly. You therefore must be collaborative, intuitive, and maximise the effectiveness of individual as well as collective thinking. You must be open to the opinions and expertise of those you engage with in order to apply coherent strategy and thinking that leads to new opportunities.

What you bring to Nike?

A successful candidate will be expected to clearly demonstrate and articulate experience of the below essential requirements in order to be considered. Candidates that meet these criteria will then be assessed based on the competencies also outlined below.

Essential requirements:

  • Prior experience in Visual Merchandising & Styling
  • A demonstrable understanding of the Turkish consumer, the territory and Nike’s position within it, with a track record of making strategic marketing decisions within this environment.
  • A desire & willingness to adapt in an agile fashion to our consumers’ and organisation’s needs to deepen our relationships with members
