What you’ll do

• As a member of the squad, solution designer is responsible for all the activities that lead the team to achieve their sprint goals & team KPIs.
• Analysing, designing complex software modules.
• Working closely with related business departments to guide them while shaping their requirements.
• Supports ideation and scoping processes for scoring, feasibility and complexity of the concepts.
• Following up evolving business proactively and being prepared for the new functionalities that can be demanded on the related modules.
• Preparing necessary design artefacts (design documents, flowcharts, database models, architecture diagrams)
• Providing suggestions for process improvements.
• Provide technical and financial (CAPEX) information including effort estimation, constraints and dependencies; highlight potential risks and offer alternative solutions
• Delivers detailed functional and technical analysis against backlog items in line with solution designers in other squads; handshakes on the specifications of the integrations points.
• Working with partners to envision, define, and execute integrations
• Making research and implementing new technologies to improve time to market, quality, flexibility and reusability
• Ensuring the delivery of software modules, products and solutions with committed functionality and performance criteria, within committed timelines.
• Mentoring and guiding less experienced team members to improve their skills and vision.
• Fulfilling consultancy requests from customers (internal/external).
• Complying with information security policies, standards and procedures of Vodafone Turkey.
• Making research on creating reusable software components and inform the results of studies to other groups.
• Planning and coordination for solutions among technology teams.
• Reviewing design and implemented code from others.
• Working without supervision

Who you are

• Bachelor’s degree from Computer Engineering, Information Systems Engineering, Mathematics Engineering and other related departments
• +8 years of experience.
• Good level of English proficiency
• Knowhow and experience of Telecommunication concepts and services.
• Know-how and experience on analysis, design, development, tools and software architecture technologies such as;

o Agile software development methodologies,

o Micro services, containers, cloud native applications and tools(Docker, Kubernetes, Redhat Openshift Platform),

o CI/CD tools and methodologies(git, Jenkins, Nexus),

o Test Driven Development(TDD) methodologies, 

o Algorithms, object oriented programming, design patterns,

o APIs, Web Services, SOAP, REST and similar technologies,

o Operating system(especially Linux)

o Database Systems such as;

 RDBMS: Oracle 

 No-SQL: Cassandra/Mongo 

o Networking concepts and tools such as;

 Load Balancer(HAProxy, F5)

 Switch/Router

 Firewall

o Cache/Queue concepts and tools such as;

 Kafka

 RabbitMq

 Redis

o Java and/or similar modern programming languages,

o Spring and/or similar frameworks,

• Self-motivated: Motivated to do or achieve more because of one’s own enthusiasm or interest, without needing pressure from others.
• Initiative: Doing things proactively, stepping up and taking action to improve current situations or address challenges and potential opportunities.
• Solutions Driven: Display sound judgment, considering the pros and cons of different options and situations to make informed and robust decisions.
