Job Description

  • Develop a diverse and authentic kebab menu, showcasing a variety of meat, poultry, seafood, and vegetarian options.
  • Master the art of marinating meats and skewering techniques to create flavorful and tender kebabs.
  • Coordinate with the procurement team to source high-quality, fresh ingredients for kebab preparation.
  • Oversee the kebab station in the kitchen, ensuring efficient production and timely service during peak hours.
  • Train kitchen staff on the proper assembly, grilling, and presentation of kebabs, maintaining consistency in taste and appearance.
  • Implement portion control measures to minimize food waste and maximize profitability.
  • Collaborate with other culinary teams to incorporate kebab offerings into buffet spreads, special events, and themed nights.
  • Stay updated on regional kebab variations, spices, and cooking techniques to continuously innovate the menu.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards.
  • Interact with guests to showcase the artistry and flavors of kebab cuisine, ensuring a memorable dining experience.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a specialty chef, with a focus on kebab cuisine, preferably in a hotel or upscale restaurant environment.
  • Proven expertise in kebab preparation techniques, including marinating, skewering, and grilling various meats, poultry, seafood, and vegetables.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills to effectively lead a team of kitchen staff and collaborate with other departments.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and sanitation standards, coupled with attention to detail and creativity in menu development.
