Job Description

THE POSITION:

We are seeking an experienced BI developer with a strong understanding of data warehousing, BI best practices, SQL, and a strong customer service mindset. The Channel Reporting team has led the way in PowerBI utilization at EVERSANA by our internal leadership, operations staff, and external clients. The team develops and releases at a fast pace with the goal of clear, understandable, and useful data presentations allowing our business users and clients to make crucial decisions in a timely manner.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Our employees are tasked with delivering excellent business results through the efforts of their teams. These results are achieved by:

  • Translate business needs to technical specifications and engage with internal and external customers to refine those specifications to deliver the best solutions
  • Create tools to translate and store data, using data modelling, SSIS, OLE, etc.
  • Design, build and deploy BI solutions including data models, KPIs, dashboards and reports to enable business transformation and decision making
  • Conduct unit testing and troubleshooting as well as peer review, QA, and UAT. Document changes and approvals following ITIL Incident and Change management procedures. Develop and update technical documentation for IT, business, and client users
  • Conduct ongoing evaluation of existing BI systems and recommend improvements
  • All other duties as assigned.

EXPECTATIONS OF THE JOB:

  • Travel is minimal.
  • Hours are aligned with US Central Time 8:00am – 5:00pm.

Qualifications

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

The requirements listed below are representative of the experience, education, knowledge, skill and/or abilities required.

  • 5+ years proven experience as a Report Developer, BI Developer or Data Scientist
  • Background in data warehouse design (e.g. dimensional modeling) and data mining
  • Demonstrated in-depth understanding of database management systems, online analytical processing (OLAP) and ETL (Extract, transform, load) framework
  • Hands-on experience with BI technologies (e.g. Microsoft Power BI, Oracle BI)
  • Hands-on experience with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), SSMS, MySQL, and other database platforms and tools
  • Proven abilities to take initiative and be innovative
  • Analytical mind with a problem-solving aptitude, ability to collaborate with others in a remote team environment, and an attitude to do what is necessary to delight clients and internal stakeholders.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Life Sciences and/or 3PL Industry experience preferred
  • PowerBI certifications
  • Agile development experience

Office: While performing the essential functions of this job the employee is frequently required to reach, grasp, stand and/or sit for long periods of time (up to 90% of the shift), walk, talk and hear; occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderately quiet, with frequent interruptions and multiple demands.

EVERSANA is committed to providing competitive salaries and benefits for all employees. The anticipated base salary range for this position is $85,000 to $100,000 and is not applicable to locations outside of the U.S. The base salary range represents the low and high end of the salary range for this position. Compensation will be determined based on relevant experience, other job-related qualifications/skills, and geographic location (to account for comparative cost of living). EVERSANA reserves the right to modify this base salary range at any time
