The Sr. Partner Account Specialist will be responsible for market awareness of the NGS and Microarray products, for developing and supporting channel sales opportunities by translating deep domain expertise and product knowledge into compelling positioning, competitive and selling strategies.
This role based in Turkey, will focus on driving Illumina’s Reproductive and Genetic Health, Oncology and Infectious Diseases portfolio and support research and clinical laboratories to help to educate end users with particular emphasis on NIPT, RUGD, CGP and epidemiological surveillance. Responsible for growing the size of the designated market on your territory across Turkey, you will liaise with marketing to strengthen our growing reputation in this field, collaborating successfully across Illumina’s business as well as channel partners.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Working with Partner Account Managers and Territory Managers to support Channel Partner growth by growing their current base and attracting new leads leading to growth in Illumina’s sales to Channel Partner.
- Support the Partner Account Managers through territory business plans, End User visits, developing accounts, providing application and presentation resources.
- Provide regular reports on status of specific developments, potential market opportunities, market conditions, and competitor activities.
- Assist strategic business plans to grow market awareness in your assigned territory (Turkey) to help support channel partner growth by growing their current base, attracting new leads with a focus on NIPT, RUGD, CGP and epidemiological surveillance and leveraging awareness through professional consortia.
- Develop leads for channel partner customer research and clinical accounts through building relationships.
- Identify high-calibre opportunities through professional screening processes and use of all available information resources to pass to channel partner.
- Develop comprehensive knowledge of prospects for channel partner including personnel and responsibilities, budgeting, products and services, competition and market.
- Prepare and present compelling presentations to potential new leads and assist with general demonstrations, training and support for channel partner customers.
- Develop and maintain all account/contact details within Illumina’s CRM database.
- Leverage CRM system to grow existing brand awareness base and expand.
- Effectively build a short/medium/long term pipelines and manage the necessary level of leads, prospects and opportunities for the channel partner.
- Work with channel partner counterparts within your assigned territory to enable their efforts in research and clinical accounts.
- Satisfy all product and technology training requirements.
- Work with Market access and Scientific affairs to establish reimbursement strategies at a national or local level. Working with key society’s and policy holders to drive this.
- Take responsibility and drive strategic projects within your territory, leverage your key opinion leader network

Preferred Experience/Education:
- BA/BS or MS or equivalent degree in LifeSciences. MBA, PhD or genetic counseling is desirable
- Significant experience in clinical and and/or translational sales within Reproductive, and/or Genetic health and/or Oncology and/or Infectious Diseases.
- Proven track record growing specific, targeted markets.
- Strong technical background in molecular biology, genomics, NGS preferred.
- English fluent, ability to effectively communicate and influence internal and external audiences, using both oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent listening, time management, organizational and interpersonal skills. Well-developed professional and strategic sales skills with proven ability to develop and grow key accounts through networking at all levels on the customer organization.
- Strong technical presentation skills.

Additional Requirements
- Ability to travel within the territory to carry out primary responsibilities (at least 50% of his / her time).

- Established Network within Reproductive, and/or Genetic health and/or Oncology and/or Infectious Diseases market spaces preferred.
