Sunflower Seed Production Agronomist.

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Seed Production Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of seed production, from selecting seed growers and fields to managing field activities and ensuring the highest quality of seed production. This role requires strong organizational skills, technical expertise, and the ability to work closely with growers, technicians, and service providers.

Key responsibilities:

• Selection and Planning: Choose seed growers and fields, create isolation maps, and plan planting and harvesting.
• Training and Support: Visit and train growers, organize meetings, and provide technical support.
• Contracts and Records: Handle contracts, maintain records, and ensure timely and accurate documentation.
• Field Management: Monitor pests, diseases, and weeds, conduct field inspections, and manage field activities.
• Communication: Inform growers through verbal and written communication, and report to the manager.
• Worker and Technician Management: Oversee workers and field technicians, provide training, and ensure high performance.
• Budgeting and Equipment: Prepare budgets, manage tools and equipment, and ensure maintenance and calibration.
• Project Support: Support various projects and ensure quality targets are met.
• Safety and Compliance: Provide safety training, follow protocols, and conduct field controls for certification.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Engineering
• At least 3 years of experience in similar responsibilities.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Technical expertise in seed production and field management.
• Fluent in English will be an asset
• Driving license as job will require frequent travel within the region.
