Program Summary

The KBR UABOS Program provides comprehensive BASE OPERATING SUPPORT – INSTALLATION (BOS-I) services at Incirlik Air Base in Turkey. These services are delivered to support the 39th Air Base Wing, mission partners, and tenant units, encompassing a diverse range of personnel including transient, temporary duty (TDY), permanent party, and rotational personnel. The program ensures the seamless functioning of operations, maintenance, and support activities essential for the sustained mission readiness and operational effectiveness of UABOS and its associated units.

Job Summary

The UABOS (Turkey) Liquid Fuels Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, inspections, and repairs on liquid fuel systems, including storage tanks, pipelines, pumps, and control systems. The technician will ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations, maintain accurate maintenance records, and respond to fuel-related incidents as needed. Additional responsibilities include troubleshooting system malfunctions, supporting emergency maintenance tasks, assisting with inventory management, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the continuous operation of fuel distribution and storage systems.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on liquid fuel systems, including storage tanks, pumps pipelines, and control systems.
  • Inspect and test liquid fuel systems to identify faults and implement repairs efficiently.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations related to liquid fuel storage, distribution, and handling.
  • Maintain detailed maintenance logs, inspection records, and work reports in accordance with company and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve fuel system issues promptly.
  • Support emergency maintenance tasks and respond to fuel-related incidents as needed.
  • Assist in training and guiding junior maintenance personnel.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory levels for parts and supplies needed for fuel system maintenance.
  • Keep up to date with industry standards, best practices, and advancements in liquid fuel technology.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move heavy equipment as necessary.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required
  • Other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen with a current U.S. Driver’s License (minimum “C” Class)
  • Must be fluent in English.
  • Must possess passport book (not passport card) with at least 12 months of remaining validity AND with at least 4 blank visa/stamp pages remaining.
  • Must possess driver’s license with at least 6 months of remaining validity.
  • Must hold and active DoD Base clearance or be able to obtain this clearance prior to deployment and must maintain such clearance for the duration of employment in this role.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in liquid fuels maintenance or related field.
  • Basic understanding of fuel system operations, mechanical systems, and relevant safety protocols.
  • Ability to use hand tools, diagnostic equipment, and specialized maintenance tools.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certification or technical training in liquid fuels maintenance or a related mechanical field.
  • Proven track record of performing maintenance and repair work on liquid fuel systems.
  • Familiarity with fuel control systems and automated fuel management software.
  • Knowledge of safety standards and procedures for handling liquid fuels.
  • Good physical stamina and the ability to work in various weather conditions.
