Program Summary

KBR will help sustain the well-being of U.S. armed forces at Morón Air Base in Spain, as well as Incirlik Air Base, Izmir Air Station, Office of Defense Cooperation –Turkey and the Ankara Support Facility also in Turkey. The company will keep these bases and facilities operating smoothly so deployed Air Force and government personnel can execute their missions without distraction.

KBR’s work will include program management; civil engineering; morale, welfare and recreation support; postal operations; and safety, occupational health, industrial hygiene and ambulance services. It will also provide logistics support, such as vehicle management, fuel operations and air terminal services. KBR received this contract – which has a five-year base period and three one-year options—from the Air Force Installation Contracting Center.

Job Summary

Incirlik Air Base Appliance Technician has the responsibility of maintaining, repairing low voltage facility equipment and systems to include appliances. The Appliance Technician is also responsible for ensuring all facilities equipment under his or her control is operating in the most efficient manner possible to ensure that the facility meets safety, efficiency, quality, and environmental targets that exceed KBR and UABOS standards.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Performs routine service, maintenance, repairs, and inspections on both residential and commercial small/medium electrical appliances to include washing machines, clothes dryers, kitchen stoves and dishwashers.
• Performs routine service, maintenance, repairs, and inspections on commercial small, medium, and large electrical kitchen equipment to include electrical/steam ovens, stoves, grilles, deep fat fryers, food warmers, mixers, and service line heating equipment.
• Interprets manufactures repair manuals and generates repair parts listings, bench stock listings and purchase request forms.
• Perform driver/laborer duties as directed to include other related duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications

• Capable to speak, read, and understand the English Language at a minimum level 2.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license.
• Fulfilled Turkish Military obligation.
• Eligible to acquire a Turkish security clearance.
• Graduation from a Technical High School with a diploma in electric department.
• Minimum of 3 years of hands-on field experience as an electrician.
• Physical capabilities include being able to lift 23 kilos, climbing ladders, extended sitting or standing, and working in normal and adverse weather conditions due to work requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in operating a Government Vehicle.
• Substantial knowledge of hand and power tools associated with Electrical, along with a general understanding of other hand and power tools and equipment.
• Capable of effectively utilizing general hand and power tools.
• Proven ability in customer communication and relationship building.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with a willingness to learn on the job.
• Familiarity with of U.S. brand name appliances and kitchen equipment operation/maintenance, repairs and installation is preferred.
