Program Summary

KBR will help sustain the well-being of U.S. armed forces at Morón Air Base in Spain, as well as Incirlik Air Base, Izmir Air Station, Office of Defense Cooperation –Turkey and the Ankara Support Facility also in Turkey. The company will keep these bases and facilities operating smoothly so deployed Air Force and government personnel can execute their missions without distraction. KBR’s work will include program management; civil engineering; morale, welfare and recreation support; postal operations; and safety, occupational health, industrial hygiene and ambulance services. It will also provide logistics support, such as vehicle management, fuel operations and air terminal services. KBR received this contract – which has a five-year base period and three one-year options—from the Air Force Installation Contracting Center.

Job Summary

Process and manage transportation service requests to include manual tasks required to sustain services until electronic processing capabilities are restored. Validate services and support compliance. Use standardized practices for processing transportation service request and entering information in OLVIMS-Dispatch database. Apply methods of transportation support and priorities of support. Coordinate with host country to obtain required road permits. Maintain a current vehicle and key personnel alert and/or standby rosters. Issue vehicles, required documentation, and communications equipment. Validate operator qualification and training credentials prior to issuing vehicle packets. Monitor local weather and travel-way conditions to best advise operators. Provide mission and safety briefings to operators providing transportation support. Track assigned vehicle fleet status and determine critical vehicle shortfalls. Maintain accountability of equipment items assigned to Ground Transportation Operations Center (GTOC) such as radios, cellular phones, flashlights, vehicle packets, etc.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Schedule or dispatch workers, work crews, equipment, or service vehicles to appropriate locations, according to customer requests, specifications, or needs, using radios or telephones
  • Prepare daily work and run schedules
  • Validate operator qualification and training credentials prior to issuing vehicles
  • Monitor local weather and travel-way conditions to best advise operators
  • Provide mission and safety brief to operators
  • Track assigned vehicle fleet status and determine critical vehicle shortfalls
  • Maintain accountability of equipment items assigned (radios, cellular phones, vehicles, VIL keys, etc.)
  • Confer with customers or supervising personnel to address questions, problems, or requests for service or equipment
  • Relay work orders, messages, or information to or from work crews, supervisors, or field inspectors, using telephones or two-way radios
  • Receive or prepare work orders
  • Record and maintain files or records of customer requests, work or services performed, charges, expenses, inventory, or other dispatch information
  • Arrange for necessary repairs to restore service and schedules
  • Monitor personnel or equipment locations and utilization to coordinate service and schedules
  • Determine types or amounts of equipment, vehicles, materials, or personnel required, according to work orders or specifications
  • Advise personnel about traffic problems, such as construction areas, accidents, congestion, weather conditions, or other hazards
  • Oversee all communications within specifically assigned territories
  • Ensure timely and efficient movement of trains, according to train orders and schedules
  • Order supplies or equipment and issue them to personnel
  • Capable of listening and understanding what people say
  • Listening to others, not interrupting, and asking good questions
  • Ability to deescalate conflict, notice a problem, and figuring out the best way to solve the issue

Basic Qualifications

  • Have a current Class B driver’s license.
  • High School/University graduate (diploma submissions will be validated)
  • Able to understand, speak, read and write Level III Intermediate English Required
  • For Male Submissions “Military Mandatory Obligation” must be complete with verification of completion.
  • Possesses or have the ability to obtain a Class A Commercial Driver’s License with Passenger (P) endorsement and Hazardous Material endorsement (H) with no restrictions
  • Must have or be qualified to receive Neat Token
  • Must have excellent customer communication and relation abilities.

  • Microsoft office software
  • Prior dispatch experience
