Program Summary

KBR supports the operational needs of U.S. armed forces at Morón Air Base in Spain and several bases in Turkey. Our services ensure smooth operations, allowing Air Force and government personnel to focus on their missions. We provide program management, civil engineering, morale, welfare, and recreation support, among other essential services. Awarded by the Air Force Installation Contracting Center, our contract spans a five-year base period with three one-year options, reflecting our commitment to excellence and operational support.

Job Summary

Performs the Air Force organic ground transportation capability for passengers and cargo using a multitude of vehicles in direct support of mission requirements. This includes operating light and heavy-duty vehicles such as buses, truck and semi-trailer combinations, forklifts, and wrecker/recovery vehicles. Supports personal security details. Performs motor vehicle preventative maintenance checks and services. Plans, organizes, and directs vehicle transportation to support operational missions.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Schedule or dispatch workers, work crews, equipment, or service vehicles to appropriate locations, according to customer requests, specifications, or needs, using radios or telephones
  • Prepare daily work and run schedules
  • Validate operator qualification and training credentials prior to issuing vehicles
  • Monitor local weather and travel-way conditions to best advise operators
  • Provide mission and safety brief to operators
  • Track assigned vehicle fleet status and determine critical vehicle shortfalls
  • Maintain accountability of equipment items assigned (radios, cellular phones, vehicles, VIL keys, etc.) using Microsoft Office Software
  • Confer with customers or supervising personnel to address questions, problems, or requests for service or equipment
  • Relay work orders, messages, or information to or from work crews, supervisors, or field inspectors, using telephones or two-way radios
  • Receive or prepare work orders
  • Record and maintain files or records of customer requests, work or services performed, charges, expenses, inventory, or other dispatch information
  • Arrange for necessary repairs to restore service and schedules
  • Monitor personnel or equipment locations and utilization to coordinate service and schedules
  • Determine types or amounts of equipment, vehicles, materials, or personnel required, according to work orders or specifications
  • Advise personnel about traffic problems, such as construction areas, accidents, congestion, weather conditions, or other hazards
  • Oversee all communications within specifically assigned territories
  • Order supplies or equipment and issue them to personnel
  • Listening to others, not interrupting and asking good questions
  • Ability to deescalate conflict, notice a problem and figuring out the best way to solve the issue
  • Have excellent customer communication and relation abilities.
  • Drive passengers to and from meeting locations.
  • Performs operator inspections, using the proper inspection guide forms and performs operator maintenance on all vehicles assigned to ensure the vehicles are safe to drive. Deliver and retrieve vehicles from vehicle maintenance. Operates, washes, waxes, services, and cleans several types of motor vehicles.
  • Must ensure vehicle is inspected in accordance with policies and procedures; is in operational condition, checking condition of a vehicle’s tires, brakes, windshield wipers, lights, oil, fluid, water, and safety equipment to ensure everything is in working order. In case of accidents and/or any found discrepancies, operator must report incident/findings in a timely manner to appropriate authorities
  • Vehicle operators must be flexible to work different shifts as needed; transport personnel, cargo, and equipment on and off base as required. Individual may have to travel on Temporary Duty (TDY), to various sites/cities throughout Turkey, for undetermined lengths of time (3-5 days), to perform similar duties.
  • Ensure vehicle is safe to operate, clean and presentable both before and after each mission.
  • Complete all required forms both before and after each mission

Basic Qualifications

  • Have a current Class B driver’s license. 
  • High School/University graduate
  • Able to understand, speak, read and write English Level III
  • Military obligation must be completed
  • Possesses or have the ability to obtain a Class A Commercial Driver’s License with Passenger (P) endorsement and Hazardous Material endorsement (H) with no restrictions

  • Prior dispatch experience
