Program Summary

KBR will help sustain the well-being of U.S. armed forces at Morón Air Base in Spain, as well as Incirlik Air Base, Izmir Air Station, Office of Defense Cooperation –Turkey and the Ankara Support Facility also in Turkey. The company will keep these bases and facilities operating smoothly so deployed Air Force and government personnel can execute their missions without distraction.

KBR’s work will include program management; civil engineering; morale, welfare and recreation support; postal operations; and safety, occupational health, industrial hygiene and ambulance services. It will also provide logistics support, such as vehicle management, fuel operations and air terminal services. KBR received this contract – which has a five-year base period and three one-year options—from the Air Force Installation Contracting Center.

Job Summary

Performs maintenance and repair on a variety of motor vehicles at Incirlik AB, Turkey.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Performs maintenance and repair on a variety of motor vehicles, such as, tactical, and automotive vehicles, gasoline and diesel-powered trucks, buses, and similar types of automotive equipment.
  • Troubleshoots equipment, removes, and replaces new or rebuilt subassemblies such as voltage regulators, generators, carburetors, fuel pumps, etc.; replaces brake cylinders; removes and cleans or replaces fuel tanks, spark plugs; adjusts tappets, changes, or adjusts distributor points and similar work.
  • Lubricates assemblies and chassis.
  • Participates in disassembly, reconditioning and replacement of parts, and assemblies on engines, power transmission, suspension, steering and braking systems and related electrical, fuel, wheel, and engine assemblies.
  • Performs inspections and repairs on all types of machinery, including bulldozers, cranes, forklifts,25 & 60 K loaders, backhoe, and other construction equipment.
  • Must be able to work on all hydraulic system on various pieces of equipment.
  • Must be able to troubleshoot hydraulic system.
  • Replacing parts and cylinders on hydraulic system.
  • Ability to work on all Material Handling Equipment.

Basic Qualifications

  • Turkish Citizenship
  • Capable to speak, read, and understand the English Language at a minimum level 2
  • Must have a valid Turkish professional driver’s license and skill to operate vehicles and equipment in a safe manner.
  • Fulfilled Turkish Military obligation.
  • Capable of obtaining a Turkish security clearance
  • Technical/High School graduate/two-year University Graduate (must possess diploma)

Preferred Qualifications (Preferred Education, Experience, Skills, and Certifications)

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in mechanical work; (possession of a “bonservis” verification of employment).
